Good book, very informative.

My apologies to Dan Wilson, but wish you came out with this book years before I discovered the opportunities on eBay UK by coincidence.If this was published years ago, it would have been an aspiration for sellers to do business in the UK, but now, it is very tough unless you have a unique product with practically no competition. I used to do $10~$15,000 (USD) per month sales in the UK without much effort, but for the past few years eBay has been making changes after changes that did nothing but hurt sellers (much more damage caused to international sellers), basically eBay shot themselves in the foot with their stupidity in poor decision making. I just watched my numbers go down slowly over the past two years to practically zero, till I completely shut down my UK sales and just focused on the U.S. alone.And for those, who may think I am the cause, my product was and still is popular in the UK, I have more UK customers buying from my U.S. listings than the UK, even though many prices were heavily reduced in the UK. I was never the highest nor the lowest in price, but always got a decent share of the pie in the past. I have 100% positive feedback with thousands of feedback, 4.9 on DSRs and earned the 'Top Seller' award with a 20% eBay discount, but it still did me no good with the changes eBay geniuses have implemented.

Even if you think you know how to use eBAY, this book is worth having. There is a big intro on the origins, but throughout, you will find yourself picking up odd tips here and there, which may seem obvious but you may not have implemented. Ideal for both complete new people and more seasoned ebayers, as you can skip about the book to those bits most relevant to you.

Some years ago, I bought a book by Dan Wilson entitled 'Make Serious Money on Ebay UK.'Before buying this current book, I read several online comments/reviews and some were somewhat scathing in that they felt it was just a rip-off of the previous title.For what its worth, my opinion is that, okay, as they say - there is nothing new under the Sun and okay, certain parts of the book may well have been recycled. But I look at it this way, with a medium like the Internet evolving so fast and in so many diverse ways, you would have to be constantly updating/re-writing any form of information to truly keep it up to date. Chances are, no-one could research and write quickly enough to keep up anyway. So you HAVE to accept that certain information will be recycled and much information will be out of date by the time you read it.THAT SAID; for pure content, advice, details of sources of information, etc, this guide - like its predecessor - takes some beating!As someone who has 'dabbled' on Ebay for around 16 years, I have to say that the information contained in this book is valuable - but only if you are willing to get off your backside and PUT THE WORK IN! The days of selling bottled air and £1.00. coins for £5.00 are long gone! The Internet and Ebay have moved on and grown up. If YOU want to make it on Ebay then YOU MUST move on too!Dan Wilson cannot make you a fortune - but he sure as heck can show you HOW to make a fortune for yourself!So then, do I recommend this book? Hell yes! :-)
