OXO 1 Litre Angled Measuring Jug, Transparent

I already have a 1 cup and 2 cup OXO measuring cup and they're perfect for making gummies. The trick is the narrow spout gives you better control when pouring the liquid into the molds. (I use the Harbo Gold-Bears Gummy Hack recipe, you can google it.) I do not cook the syrup in the microwave in my plastic measuring cups, I use glass ones for that. When the liquid is ready to be poured into the molds, I transfer it to the plastic measuring cups.I'm getting ready to review my frog gummy molds and Sonic green apple gelatin I recently got from Amazon and I couldn't do it without this super size measuring cup. Another bonus is this plastic cup is so much lighter than my glass one that it's going to make the whole process a lot easier on my wrist.

This metric version of Oxo's largest measuring cup is a near-perfect companion to the Technivorm Moccamaster: light weight, easy-to-read milliliter markings and a drip-free pour. My only wish: a 1.25-liter version to fill the coffee maker's 40-oz reservoir with a single pour.

Although I do have a place to store this, it’s on the drain board 99% of the time because we use this for EVERYTHING! From measuring All cooking liquids to our favorite ice catcher from the fridge dispenser - it takes care of people cups and pet water bowls! Received this very quickly upon order too!

Perfect size, just as expected

Great tool for measuring and pouring.

After seeing and using this design I'm unlikely to ever go back to either Pyrex or Anchor measuring cups again. OXO has combined so many features I can't imagine who wouldn't like or prefer this measuring cup. OXO's "Good Grips" design covertly uses what's commonly called "Universal Design" making products more user friendly for both young, elderly, and those with limited/reduced abilities to use it thanks to its bigger and softer handles. And since recipes often have a mix of measurements in ounces, cups, and milliliters OXO has all of them listed on this cup, and on the ingenious angled measurement which you can see from above. No more having to bend down to see if your measurement is right or holding it up to eye level (and possibly getting the measurement wrong!). The angle design is SO smart I have these in every size made - they are simply indispensable!These are made out of very high grade plastic which undoubtedly will give some users pause but they are both dishwasher and microwave safe. Better still, when microwaving the grip doesn't get hot as happens with the Pyrex and Anchor. And with the change over bonosilicate glass to tempered soda lime glass in 1988 newer Pyrex and Anchor bakeware has to be treated more carefully as opposed to their older bakeware. I've had my OXO cups for many years and they have been used HARD, but have held up well! The insides and outsides have become a bit scratched from washing so many times, but they're still very serviceable and all the measurements are still legible and visible. As other reviewers have pointed out DO NOT USE THIS WITH FATS! The fats will somewhat bond to the plastic making cleaning the much more difficult and that is where you should use Pyrex or Anchor.

*****I love these measuring cups because I can see exactly how much I'm putting into them from above instead of peering and squinting at the measuring lines from the side. They are priced well, and very useful. They come in all sizes, from mini-size (1/4 cup) all the way up to 4 cups, and come in sets as well. They are made of a sturdy type of hard plastic. The measuring cups are dishwasher safe, but should not be used in the microwave.I haven't had any problems with them. My husband recently began to use one of them for measuring his boiling water for oatmeal in one, and so far it has held up great. However, I like them so much, that I'm worried that the markings on the inside may wear off in time, so I'm getting him a special glass one of his own. I would therefore recommend them ideally for dry ingredients or for cool wet ingredients.They are handy, easy to store (I can stack mine by staggering the handles) and easy to clean. The handles are made of rubber for easy gripping, very nice. I still have some of my old traditional measuring cups but I only use these.*****
