Needed my ceiling light permentaly dimmed and this works well. Is small enough to route a small slot in my light to hide.

Boy… I wish everything was so easy, like the way I installed it.

First things first, I do not buy dimmer switches often so I couldn't say if I paid a good price for this or not. I had bought a used lamp and it was broken so I bought this part for repairing it. Removal and installation were incredibly easy on my lamp, just screwing a few screws, one washer, and the screw on caps for the cables (I am not an electrician so I do not know the real name for this part). But incredibly simple very hard to mess up as long as you take a photo before you replace the part. My only gripe is the replacement "gold" knob. It is very plastic my, but that is not as much an issue when it is on the lamp. It also is not all that well finished and you can see the poor finishing especially well when the light is on. Also, maybe it is just my eyes, but the color seems to have an ever so slight greenish undertone unlike any other golden metallics I've ever seen. But that is really my only gripe, aside from any possible failures of theñis switch at a later date and time.

Was an exact replacement for my torchier and works perfectly. Very well made switch.

The supplier delayed the shipment 3 times with Prime shipment. When the product arrived found the product quality to be very poor. The switch knob is made of cheap plastic and broke while installation. Do not buy this product or from this supplier.
