Spalding Basketball Hoop | Backboard and Rim Combo | Mounts to Roof, Pole or Wall

Needed a slight modification in hardware to install on my pole. But it works as expected, and is holding up to our extreme desert sun 🌞.

my original which was a bit bigger and heavier (not sure why) it got clown over and cracked the backboard. I got this and was able to save the rest of the basket saving me a ton, it is smaller by a few inches making it lighter and less likely to blow over again. With the supplied hardware I was able to install with no issues and quite easily. I recommend for any portable basketball set up.

Seems to be working order and still looks good outside after a year, install was easy to mount on my old stand but you should have 2 people for installation. Instructions were fairly easy to use.

We bought this backboard and had it for about 16 months before it shattered. Replace with the same one... 10 months later SHATTERED AGAIN. I won't be buying a 3rd.

This backboard has appeal and looks great in our backyard!!!

Bought this in Feb 2022 and in Dec 2024 my son was shooting free throws and the ball went through the backboard; then I fixed it with scotch tape and cardboard… then my son was shooting again with his buddy and this time the ball went through a different part of backboard … two separate holes… my son is 11 years old.. so he wasn’t shooting hard at all. The plastic got old and brittle… period. It was a good replacement backboard, but not worth the money, we live in lower Virginia and it rarely gets below 40 degrees t effect plastic.

I installed this as a replacement and installed in the spring of 2022. It broke recently for no good reason. In other words, my daughter hit it with a basketball and a 9" x 12" piece fell out. Possibly I'm wrong, but I expected a little longer useful life for the money. To the mfg credit, it is advertised as shatterproof, and it did not shatter. A big piece just fell out of it. Until the moment that it surprisingly broke, I thought it was a solid piece of equipment.

This backboard fits perfectly on our permanent pole. The kids love it especially because we can easily adjust the height

So far so good. It took a while to wedge it onto current post. Solid backboard and it is put to good use by the kids.

Product broken after one month. Backboard cracked. Huge waste of money. Looking to have a response from manufacturer. This is ridiculous and of completely poor quality for a spalding product.

Just over a year of light usage and part of the Shatter proof backboard broke off. It’s not shatter proof!
