Best version of this med, never fails. Highly recommend.
We have a lot of allergies in our family and we get sick quite often. I have tried every brand of diphenhydramine out there but the name brand is the only one that works right. The different store brands may have the same active ingredient, but they never work as well as the original. Amazon is usually about the same price as my local stores, but when you're stuck in the house with sick kids, being able to order it straight to the house, often in one day, is a lifesaver. The chewable flavor is great (my kids don't spit it out or complain) and easier to dose than liquid. We will be back for more. Note: Like many people, I rely heavily on Amazon reviews before making almost any purchase, online or in brick-and-mortar stores. I am always honest with my reviews. If I love something, I shout it from the rooftops. And if I hate it, I have no problem telling you that too. If you found this review helpful, please click the button below :-)

Perfect for Nighttime Relief and Restful Sleep!
I love Children’s Benadryl Chewable Grape Flavor for my daughter, especially at night. It works wonders for helping her sleep because it does cause a bit of drowsiness, which is exactly what she needs to rest well and not be tired for school the next day. I’ve tried other brands like Claritin, but since they’re labeled non-drowsy, they seem to keep her awake for hours. This Benadryl is definitely the ticket for a good night's sleep, and the grape flavor makes it easy for her to take!

Good Quality
received fast and undamaged. I used this for fast relief instead of wait 30 minutes for tablet to take effect. These can be taken by adults just follow instructions on number to take. But I usually removed the chewable from the protection & put in a bottles because it is much faster. I take the bottle with me on the golf course.

Dudes. What's up with the packaging?
The packaging. Oh, the packaging. It says to fold the tab and then pull. I folded. I pulled. Nothing happened. Nothing came up. Folding did not release the blister packaging. Not one bit. I mean it was like trying to give birth to something extremely possessive. I yanked. Put one foot up on the cabinet drawer, seeking purchase, and received nothing for my efforts except a good hard fall, which would have left my entire family in tears of laughter had they been witnesses. Thank God they weren't, especially since I was wearing a skirt. Then I tried the teeth method. One star for this method, do not recommend. I've had a chipped tooth before and I gave up on that fruitless effort quickly. So I went back to the folding method. I folded the corner not just forth, but back and then forth, and then -- snap -- it broke off. Still the steel jaws of this supernatural blisterpack remained tightly closed against my every effort. At last I brought out my box scissors. I had to cut very close to the frustratingly stubborn little nugget inside. In doing so, I shaved off a little bit of the medicine. I'm sure that horrible purple tablet was laughing at me somewhere in its black little heart. But...the tablet is out. OUT. I SHALL overcome. And I have covered my maniacal giggles with one hand so my family doesn't put me away, and have delivered it to my son. And I mean, the tablet works. So there's that. Three stars.

Saved my daughter
Allergies are no fun to deal with as a parent. My child is allergic to everything, but who would’ve thought she was allergic to macadamia nuts? The only reason I found out was two weeks before our trip to Hawaii, her grandpa gave her macadamia nuts popcorn clusters. Seriously, who would make something like that? Anyway, I hear crying coming from her grandparents room and didn’t think much of it. I mean she’s a child and possibly they annoyed her or something. But the crying didn’t stop. I go check to see what’s going on and see that she had thrown up whatever she had been eating. That was the scariest thing ever. After inspecting my child, I found Huge hive like rashes from her face down to her entire upper body. We rushed home and gave her some Benadryl and she was better shortly after. It’s a good thing we had some Benadryl at home because she does have other food allergens. Ever since that moment, we never leave home with these tablets. Please don’t think these are magic pills either. Her reaction was so extreme that I did end up getting her allergist to prescribe the ridiculously expensive epi-pen. Two weeks later in Hawaii, she was exposed to macadamia nuts again twice. Apparently, macadamia nuts are in many things…kid’s quesadilla might be cooked in butter that cooked macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi, those cute pineapple shaped cookies have crushed macadamia nuts hidden in them. Thank goodness I was right next to my daughter when she ingested those items and were able to attend to her allergy immediately with these pills. She didn’t have those wild hives she did when she ate what her grandparents gave her. Moral of the story is even if you’ve told the grandparents or any other adult figure the list of allergens your child has, don’t trust anyone but yourself to put your child’s safety first. In would’ve paid 2xs as much for these pills.

Handy to keep in car. Flavor is good. A bit hard to open.
RATING: 5 stars, minus 1/2 star for packaging = 4.5 stars. Sometimes I have difficulty opening the child-resistant pill packaging, but I am not the most coordinated person. Other than that I really like this product. Handy to keep in car. Easy to chew, no water required (but recommended). Have purchased these more than once. Taste is acceptable (grape, on the artificial end, but not bad at all). Read dosage directions carefully. Suitable for ages 6 years to adult. These are 12.5 mg per chewtab. May cause drowsiness. Note: these are not the cheapest version of Benadryl, but the chewability and convenience when traveling mostly make up for it.
