Saved $250 over OEM
I was replacing an original carburetor on a John Deere 265 that was 20-30 years old. I bought the mower used for $300. The new carburetor from John Deere was nearly $300. I found this one and took a chance. (I had ordered another off Amazon from a different manufacturer and it got lost along the way). This carburetor isn't quite as deep as the original so I had to assemble the air cleaner to the carburetor before attaching the carburetor to the engine, so its a pretty tight fit. The mower runs better than it did before the change, I can idle on low without it stalling out.
