So glad I purchased. If you think you like cigars, order the biggest one. Cigars and humidors is as much art as it is science. Best storage for cigars is around 70 degrees and 70% humidity. What a PAIN trying to keep a traditional humidor at 70 degrees (humidity is easy imo). I live in South Florida. 6 months of the year, my home temp average is 75 degrees. During the day, we leave, it can be high 70s then in evening maybe low 70s. This is just plain bad for you smokes! The Newair keeps a very constant temp with about 1 to 2 degree variations (don't kill yourself thinking it should stay EXACTLY at you desired temps. High end fridges don't! I opted for Boveda packs for humidity control over the water tank and they work GREAT! I bought a by Govee ($15) great investment to ADD to the already accurate one included. I also added a few sheets of spanish cedar as this is basically a converted wine cooler and it sort of lacks enough Cedar. All in all, when you leave a store bought, even a high end Cigar store bought cigar and leave it in your humidor for 3 to 4 weeks or longer, it really brings your cigar to life!!! *Season the humidor: I like simple. I bought the Boveda 84% x 3. Left them in there impatiently for about 10 days or so. It holds great with the 67% boveda packs i now have. I highly love my NewAir 250 and it is the Game changer for your smokes! Buy it! 6 plus months later. Working great!!!

Had this for about 6 months now. No issues. Does its job, stays quiet. What more can you ask for.

My husband loves this humidor

After reading all the negative reviews I am here to confirm they are true. I tried giving this product the benefit of the doubt thinking people were nitpicking but that’s not the case. There’s no way this holds 250 cigars. Especially since the bottom is taken up by the water container. You’d be luck to get 100. Most of the time it did smell like cedar but there are definitely underlying tones of plastic(and yes I followed the cleaning instructions). The battery hygrometer was dead and had to purchase a new one. It was missing both keys so I’m unable to lock the unit, and worst of all the thermostat is off by a handful of degrees. If I want it to be 70 I have to set it at 74. The motor never shuts off so cigars on the middle shelf get dried out from the fan constantly blowing on them. Not worth the trouble and hassle buying this only to be disappointed and misled.
