Beautiful
Well, it’s just beautiful! And works well. Makes a gorgeous wedding gift; get another brass grinder, like the circular box one, and bags of spices, such as cloves, juniper berries, etc., and present both and all fir a very nice gift.

The grinding crank just sits on top of the grinder and is of lesser quality than the grinder.
I wanted to use this item to grind sea salt. That works but the crank is unfinished and has no means to hold it on top. I considered a return but the company was going to charge return shipping and a 15% reshelving fee. So my return would cost more than the original item. This company will get no more of my business.

gift for a cook or baker
This is a great kitchen gift. None of the images showed the hand lever. This hand lever is an articulated, hinged 2 pc crank. I was looking for a single pc lever. Still a good gift.
