These merino low cut socks are the best socks I've found for summer walking - they fit well, don't make your feet too hot and are wonderfully comfortable thanks to the wool mix and cushioned footbed. They also seem to wash and wear well with no shrinkage. They are quite pricey but worth it I think as they are far superior to cotton socks, which can sometimes rub in hot weather. They also get less smelly, which is a bonus. UPDATE July 25: I recently ordered a three pack (black/grey/green) of the lighter weight summer walking socks, which are even better for hot weather. I would point out though that the green pair are like the original low cut socks and have cushioning the entire length of the sole and on top of the foot, whereas the black and grey socks only have cushioning in the heel and toe areas and so are a bit thinner. But this is not really a problem for me as I like both styles.

I've bought these as my old low height Bridgedale socks have worn through. Initial reaction is that the fit well and are pretty comfortable. They are not quite as soft as the Bridgedale, but so far I've not had any rubbing but have not done any long walks yet. They are pretty lightweight, so not very thick.

Found these socks to be extremely comfortable, on my feet wearing steel toe capped but for 12hrs a day. These helped tremendously with aching fit. Why did you choose this product over others?: Good value

Comfortable to wear on 7 mile walks

Decided to try these socks on a 50km walk and developed 1.5 inch burning blisters on the bottom of my left foot and the backs of both heels. They claim to be made of merino wool and used by a high quality athlete but they destroyed my feet. Save yourself several days of potential suffering and use a brand like Smartwool, Farm to Feet, Darn Tough (for hiking, trekking, long distance walks) or Balega, Swiftwick (for running or everyday wear) there are definitely several other brands of quality socks out there that will potentially last for years, have lifetime warranties, and most importantly - keep your feet in good condition so you can enjoy your activities.

OK, but thin material. I was expecting thicker hiking socks for boots. Best used with walking shoes and for less demanding treks.

I have been getting back into hiking and had purchased a pair of Darn Tough hiking socks. I live in a warmer climate and wanted enough cushion with plenty of breathability. They are nice socks, but fairly expensive. I wanted some less expensive but still quality socks for when I wear my hiking boots or shoes but was not doing a longer hike. These looked to tick those boxes. I have worn them quite a few times now for both full day wear with my hiking boots and for shorter hikes. Honestly, I like these better than the more expensive pair. These have a little better cut and a little better stretch making them easier to get on and off. They fit well, are comfortable, have enough padding, yet are thin enough to breath well. They are even more comfortable than the Darn Tough socks. If you are looking for a quality hiking sock at an affordable price, these are a great choice.

Really good socks at an excellent price. I would like them to be a bit longer but this is not a fault of the socks so much as of my choice

Helt klart dom skönaste strumporna jag haft på mig när jag varit ute och vandrat. kändes varken kalla eller varma, utan perfekt hela vandringen på 25km varje dag. dom gled aldrig ner eller veckade sig. Helt klart värda varenda krona som dom kostar!!

Le sto usando da tempo per le escursioni e mi trovo davvero benissimo. Sono comode fin dal primo utilizzo, avvolgono bene il piede senza stringere e rimangono sempre in posizione, senza scendere durante la camminata. Anche dopo molte ore di trekking mantengono un buon comfort e aiutano a prevenire sfregamenti e vesciche. Il materiale è di qualità e, dopo diversi lavaggi, sono ancora come nuove. Per me sono state un ottimo acquisto e le consiglio a chi cerca calze affidabili per camminare in montagna.
