Note: Mitas winter tires are specially designed for winter competition in snow and ice, off-road riding only. They are not to be used on highway, bare or frozen ground as excessive wear and tread damage may occur to tire and studs. These studded winter tires are shipped with carbide tipped rally studs installed by a special pneumatic machine. Automotive studding tools will not work with these unique shaped, long studs, which are glued in position. It is a very time consuming process. These studded winter tires are high performance specialty off-road only tires and do not carry any guarantees or warranties what so ever. This tire is a Mitas / Trelleborg XT-434. This studding pattern is the PRO model - every knob dimple is studded. The size for this auction is 80/100-21 front. It has approx. 250 studs. Motorace #20-7013 For the last decade Trelleborg MX Motorcycle tires have been produced by Mitas in the Czech Republic using molds and technology purchased from Trelleborg Sweden. 2010 was the last year of the brand name licensing agreement. The Trelleborg name use in the motorcycle tire market has now ended. The identical MX tires continue to be manufactured by Mitas in the Czech Republic and marketed using the Mitas brand name. The original tread model numbers remain but will now be preceded by an "X" as part of the Mitas "Sport Extreme" off-road motorcycle tire product line. If you have any questions, please mail Dave at Motorace. Thanks!

Nothing better for winter riding
Trelleborgs are the best winter studded tires currently available. We have been riding on our sets for Trellies for 3 seasons now. If you take care of them, they will last. We ride in Northern part of NY state, so we get a full season using these and allow year round dirt bike riding - December through March on the Tellies. They are the whey to go. I just want to know when they will go on sale again!. Mounting them is more difficult then regular tires - make sure you warm them up in the house and use plenty of tire lube, and UHD tubes since you don't want to worry about flats in the middle of winter. They are expensive, but there is no competition for studded tires unless you make them yourself or buy them from shops you make them. Trellies are the only "factory" studded tire. The quality is excellent.

These studded tires are not the old Trelleborg tires that ...
These studded tires are not the old Trelleborg tires that lasted for up to 10 years. Midas bought out Trelleborg 5 or 6 years ago and the quality is gone. I have seen many of these front tires lose the side knobs/studs in 50 miles of riding. These are over priced junk.
