Truly impressive, and quiet.
To start off, I usually don't review products. If I do, it usually means I am highly impressed or was a total lemon. In this case it is a total positive. First let me start off, my gameplan was to build system with reasonable power, for video encoding, photo rendering, and game play on occasion. The other factors I considered of mine was heat build up, noise and power consumption. I ended up with an AMD build, which honestly can build a fair amount of heat. With this in mind I bought Coolermaster HAF XB EVO for airflow. While an impressive case, the two front 120mm case fans, were incredibly loud with no PWM. Now getting to review of this product be Quiet Silent Wings 3 120MM, I bought these 2 fans after a lot of research and debate. Skimming through reviews, many posted about the quietness of these fans. It was between this and Noctua fans. While Noctua are quiet fans too, I have to give be Quiet! their credit. These are incredibly silent fans. Almost to the point I can't even tell they are on if it wasn't for me looking into the case to see the fans spinning(idle and surfing net, as well as photo editing). And they are miles above the Coolermaster stock fans in the HAF case. Really no comparison. The only time I heard these fans spin up was when I literally pushed my machine by running video editing/encoding. My AMD Ryzen 3700 was utilizing all its cores at 85%. To be honest, while was more of hum and swish of air with the be Quiet! fans at that utilization, they were still quieter than any fan in the past that I have used. Also I think most of the noise I heard coming from my system was from videocard fans and a Noctua 120mm fan I bought for the back chasis(I bought this cause be Quiet! was out of stock at the time). It is quiet but be Quiet! beats it very squarely. As for temps, well that was a big factor for me too. I like a very cool PC. I am also using a Be Quiet Dark 4 CPU fan. But my temps in my case average around CPU 33C/CPU Package temp 47C at idle and surfing net. With it under heavy load, it stays CPU 50C/CPU Package 61C. While the case fans are not necessarily the main factor for these temps. They contribute overall. They are way more efficient and stable and overall make a noticeable difference than my last chasis fans. My temps would fluctuate more and be closer to 70C(CPU package) and that was under high speed and loudness with the Coolermaster fans. These fans are much more quieter and keep the temp much more stable and lower overall inside the case. So I can attest to their efficient temp control as well. They are well designed and I like that they are black compared to the Noctua brand.

Great Fans
I bought these when I realized that the single stock Corsair intake fan in my new computer case didn't work--they sent out a replacement, but it was taking too long to arrive and I got impatient, and decided to get something better for my PC. After doing a lot of research, I purchased two of these 140mm fans, they quickly arrived and I got to work setting them up. They were slightly more complicated than other fans I've dealt with--but take that with a big grain of salt, because I'm new to PC building. They have these small silicone (probably?) attachments, for instance, which are two sided, and unless you carefully read and understand the instructions, it's easy to mess up how you incorporate them. For me, it wasn't clear whether I should've had the long or short side of these silicone cushions (for lack of a better word) facing in or out of my PC, and the instructions didn't seem to give much guidance in this regard. I completed installing the first fan before I even realized that there were two different sides, and then when I noticed the difference and realized that half of my little silicone things were one way and the other half the other, I decided to remove the fan to at least make it consistent. Then I discovered, to my horror, that these things are very difficult to remove due to the little plastic push-pin things it uses rather than screws, which I imagine greatly helps with noise reduction, but sucks hardcore to remove. I felt like they would break if I forced them, so I gave up. So now, officially, my bottom intake fan is installed correctly, and my upper intake fan has randomly applied silicone cushion things--not the end of the world, the fans still work great, it's more of a minor OCD-type annoyance. If you do it properly, though, then these fans are fast and silent, as advertised. Lesson I learned: read the instructions carefully and figure it all out before diving in! All that said, I love these fans. You can tell that they're very high quality when you're handling them and they run like a dream. My personal installation challenges aside, (and I do recommend that this company please offer better instructions for installation, including a clearer explanation of which way one should place the silicone cushion things), I strongly recommend these fans if you're looking for a fast, silent 140mm option.

The "ONE" among all fans
I look back now and I know I had a problem. My case 2 builds ago had 120mm fans and I had probably about 12 different fans with about 2 or 3 of each. From Orange Cougars to Gentle Typhoons to Corsair ML to Noctua browns and probably any fan that was hyped to be good. Noctua (super ugly beige and brown) with gentle typhoons on the rad gave the best sound to performance profile, but something was still missing. Noctua took too long to come out with black fans and lets be honest, not all of us wanted those ugly beige and brown things all over the case. So I was introduced to bequiet fans and I have not looked back. Let me be straight. Noctua and bequiet are so close that you can't go wrong with either. I prefer the sound profile slightly better on bequiet and have had 1 RMA on a Noctua fan, but you can't go wrong with either and I would be happy with Noctua (blacks) as well. Both cost a premium. You can get 90% of the performance out of most other fans. But that extra 10% means lower speeds/better sound profile which matters a lot to me. My opinion is that Fan tech from a pure performance aspect has really advanced fairly moderately since the days of 60mm and then 80mm, then 120mm and now 140mm. What has really advanced is optimizing the sound profile and taking advantage of 140mm fans and the advantage of similar airflow at lower speeds compared to smaller fans. 140 seems to be that sweet spot where you can run the fans at a relatively decent speed even at full loads without hearing a jet engine sound. I would recommend only cases that use all 140mm fans as even 120mm fans still have that higher pitch sound that isn't as pleasant on the ears. I prefer the High speed PWM fans and only use the motherboard to control fans to my speed preference. I never understood and still don't understand the draw of a fixed speed case fan controller. I have removed the fan controllers from my last 3 cases and have used splitters to combine usually fronts or bottom/top fans to the MB headers and have had no issues. I admit I probably have a mental block over the "1000" rpm mark and notice that 1000 rpm is probably too high for 140mm fans unless you have extremely limited airflow or bad thermals. You can probably get away with the normal PWM fans that max at 1000, but I like having the extra headroom just incase and with 350ish rpm being the lowest speed on the high speeds, it is more than low enough for anyone that isn't overly obsessed about a fully "silent" computer. My fans run at around 500 to 700 at idle to normal loads and about 850 to 1000 at full loads/gaming. As for the fans, they come with different mounts. I almost always use the screws. They have no vibration issues and are really just the "fan" I have been looking for. They have the best whoosh sound among the fans with the noctua being basically the same but subjectively I like bequiet a smidge more. I have had no issues using them as both air flow or pressure fans which used to be more of a thing. My recommendation is 140mm all around is a must. My last case had all 140mm except only support for a 240mm rad with dual 120mm fans. Those 120mm fans were responsible for most of the noise I heard. Changing from Corsair ML120mm to bequiet silentwings 3 120mm had a postivie impact. But 140mm fans are just a giant leap better and finding cases that can fit a 280mm rad are better unless absolutely the smallest case is all that works for you. TLDR best case fan, but you pay a premium.

Well-engineered fan, much quieter and pushes more air than stock
I got this to replace a stock Corsair fan on my new build. I already picked up a few Noctua fans ( Noctua Fan with Focused Flow and SSO2 Bearing, Retail Cooling NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM x 2 on a radiator ; Noctua SSO Bearing Fan Retail Cooling NF-R8 redux-1800 PWM x 2, 1 bottom in-flow and 1 back top outflow) but I wanted to try be quiet! since they've gotten some pretty good reviews. I placed this as an exhaust fan on the top/back of the case. Not silent (what can be) but much quieter than the stock fan and moves air well. Also, the attachment points are module. I just started putting the smaller plunger-style connectors onto the fan frame without paying much attention. I tried for a while to remove the plunger connectors but I couldn't quickly figure out how to remove them to use the screw-based connector so I went with the plungers. Both use rubber on the connections for anti-vibration attachment. The plungers do an unexpectedly good job in securing the fan to the case. And if I get another bq! fan, I'll probably go the plunger route again. All in all, a well-engineered fan on-par with Noctua.

Excellent for any Computer system.
I'm a Gamer, I built my system for gaming, and HD video's. This is my all around entertainment system. I have been looking to upgrade my Corsair H75 Radiator cooling fans from stock LOUD fans to something a little more quieter. I have been looking at Noctua and just thinking of the ugly fan was, Until I saw these and this Nice blade design and quiet operation. These work Great !!!!! **NOTE** these fans come in a 3 pin design, I was lucky my MoBo (MotherBoard) has 4 pins with the ability to use 3 pins on a 4 pin module. I have not gone into the bios yet to see if I can play with the voltage to change the speeds and since it's so quiet I'm not sure I need to either. With a drop in noise and increased fan volume, I'm a Happy Customer These were boxed very nicely I might say as well, I love these fans !!

This is my second review as Amazon sent me an email saying my first review was...too mean??? (my words, not Amazon's) First, be aware that the beQuiet Silent Wings "3" is the newest model, NOT "3" in a pack! According to the product's headline, you can read it either way. (I read it as "3" in a pack, and I was wrong.) Second, the product itself, AWESOME! Easy to install as it comes with two different "corner adapters", depending on how you need to install your fan(s). Simply slide the adapters that you need onto the corners. Power cord is wrapped, so the wires are protected. As for the function (and my little knowledge of computer components as I'm a new-to-gaming/computers person) the Silent 3's are a whisper! I currently have 4 computers running as I've been learning to "build" computers. Therefore, I have a few fans from old cases that I bought used. The old case fans are extremely loud to where it's annoying. But the beQuiet 3 is like it's not even running! Maybe a very soft "hooooooooooooooooo". No "hissing" or "buzzing" at all. As for airflow, I have no machines to test accuracy so I will believe what beQuiet states. I will say I can feel a nice, strong airflow when I place my hand behind it. I bought the one fan and plan to buy more, especially for my larger GPU computers. They are on the expensive side but they're worth it to me. Noise Level - A+ Quality - A+ Price - B+ Only 4-stars because of the headline. 5-stars for quality and function. To note - I installed my one beQuiet on an Alienware Aurora 12, in the front.

Costs a little more than most, but quality far exceeds any computer fan I've ever seen before.
I bought two of these fans to replace those in a Cooler Master V6-GT, one of which had gone bad and was making a terrible racket. That stock Cooler Master fan had been buzzing intermittently for many months and became almost completely inoperative three days ago. These fans are more expensive than most, but they were the only fans I could find rates up to 2200 RPM, which equaled the rating of my stock Cooler Master fans. I must say I now understand why they are more expensive than other fans. They are not in the same league as other cheap computer fans. You realize this the moment you see the box they come in. This is Ferarri vs Volkswagon Beetle, here. You are getting what you pay for. These fans are far more quiet than my stock fans ever were, and my core temperature is running four degrees lower than normal, down from 26° to 22° C. That is quite significant, and demonstrates that Cooler Master puts the cheapest fans possible in their coolers to hit lower price points. I'm glad I bought these, as this purchase saved me the hassle of installing a new CPU cooler. I will look for these fans for my next build when the time comes.

Amazing, silent, perform well on AIO cooler
They weren't kidding when they named these "silent". I replaced the Gamerstorm TF-120 fans that came with my Captain Deepcool 240 EX AIO CPU cooler with these. Night and day difference. Although the Captain fans were favorably rated for noise, they have nothing on these be quiet fans, these things are truly silent. Even at full chat they have a pleasant and soft sound compared to the higher pitched and louder noise of the TF-120s. Very impressive. I ran a 20 minute torture on the CPU to compare. The TF-120s held CPU at 72F. The be quiet fan held CPU at 75F. They don't push quite as much air or pressure as the TF-120s, running about 400RPM slower at full speed. However, with only a three degree difference they clearly can keep up. I also replaced the stock 120mm case fan that came with my Fractal Define Nano S case with one of these. I thought the Fractal was quiet, but again this fan blew it away with true silent running. And my system temps are actually a degree or two lower (although that could just be random difference). Again, the sound difference can't be overstated. These fans are EXTREMELY quiet and perform very well. I would buy more in a heartbeat for my next build.

Be Quite 140mm Vs Corsair RGB 140mm
First off, Im using the Asus X470 F Gaming Motherboard along with the AMD Ryzen 3700X and the NZXT 630 Phantom case "Because I Love It" and so the is plenty of cooling in this case and also a good few PVM FAN HEADERS on the board. Im using the Be Quite Silent Wings 3 PWM 140mm Fan and straight away I noticed a difference in noise when I installed it "which was very easy". The CPU was reading a temp of roughly 30c at idle then I went into the ROG Bios and optimized all the fans and to be fair I had never done this before and the Cpu Temp went down to 25c which was showing on the ICUE software as Im also using the Corsair Hydro 115i Platinum. Now there is a vast difference from the noise levels to what it was, to what it is now. The new Be Quite fan is first class and now to be fair the old Cooler Master 140mm fan did last at least 10 years and probably was on its way out but compared to the Corsair 140mm fans that on the AIO, I would say by the sound that the Be Quit 140s are defo quieter and I would be looking to swap those out in the near future although the RGB of the Corsair 140s are nice. I can see Be Quite making RGB fans in the future if they dont already but I just wanted a plain black fan for the back of the case. UPDATE 12/09/20: I recently bought a new case "The Lancool 2 Mesh White RGB" and it a great case but the included 3 Rgb fans sounded like a jet engine even with my headset on and because the fans were 3 pin DC I had not much control over them and I couldnt stick it. So I swapped the out for 3 more Be Quite 120mm PWM fans and now man what a difference. These Be Quit are worth every Penny in my eyes. Sure I havent got the RGB effect but I have got a mess of cables to match. Give me function over looks anyday.

Parfait pour watercooling !
Monté sur un AIO Corsair h100i, c'est juste parfait pour remplacer les ventilos d'origine. On ne les entend pas et ils font un boulot superbe. Connecter directement sur la carte-mère avec un bon profile dans le bios la vitesse s'adapte aux températures de mon cpu et ils ne font aucun bruit (230 rpm au mini, je ne les ai pas vus monter à plus de 1300 rmp ;) ). Avec leur forte pression statique, c'est idéal pour un radiateur de wc, les perfs sont au rdv. Si comme moi vous êtes à la recherche de silence et de performance c'est un excellent choix foncé ;).

Le Silence
J'ai pris -deux BL067 (Silent Wings 3 140mm pwm low rpm) -trois BL066 (Silent Wings 3 120mm pwm low rpm) En remplacement de 3 Arctic F12 et des deux Corsair AF140L d'origine du boitier, j'ai monté les 120 en aspiration et les 140 en extraction dans un Corsair Carbide 540 Air. J'ai longtemps hésité à franchir le pas, plus de 100€ de ventilos, il faut les justifier. Mais mon proco étant équipé du Dark Rock Pro 4 qui a des Silent Wings effectivement très silent, ça a un peu aidé. Bref j'ai craqué et je ne regrette pas : au bureau, l'ordi à environ un mètre de moi, je l'entends à peine lorsque la pièce est silencieuse, si j'ouvre la fenêtre, il est totalement couvert par le bruit ambiant. L'autre avantage c'est que j'ai pu augmenter les rpm en gardant ce silence : j'entends plus les high rpm du Dark Rock que les ventilos du boitier qui tournent pourtant à 45/50% en idle (les 120 à 600/700 rpm et les 140 à 450/500 rpm). Théoriquement je devrais avoir un meilleur refroidissement pour moins de nuisances sonores, mais je n'ai pas remarqué de grosses différences en termes de températures (il faut dire qu'il fait plus chaud ces derniers jours aussi). Bequiet fait en plus des systèmes de montage et propose des solutions anti-vibrations simples et efficaces : j'ai mis presque plus de temps à démonter les anciens ventilos qu'à monter ceux-là... Ils ne bougent pas et ne transmettent aucune vibration au châssis (ce qui contribue grandement au silence). En plus, mais ça c'est subjectif, je les trouve jolis : ils sont sobres, sans rgb sapin de noël, et dans ma config noire et rouge, ils s'y accordent parfaitement. En conclusion : oui ils sont un peu chers (quoique pas beaucoup plus que d'autres grandes marques) mais on paie la qualité et les promesses tenues : ils sont simples à monter, font leur boulot de refroidissement correctement et accomplissent la prouesse de le faire dans le silence presque total.

Perfekter Luefter, deutlich besser aus der Vorgaenger
Habe von den SilentWings 3 140mm PWM gleich 5 Stueck in meinem SilentBase 800 verbaut. Hatte vorher die gleiche Konfiguration mit den SilentWings 2 und bin positiv ueberrascht was fuer eine Veraenderung sich einstellte. Der Luftdurchsatz und die daraus resultierende Kuehlleistung ist identisch mit dem Vorgaenger, doch erzeugen die SilentWings 3 bei hohen Drehzahlen, jenseits der 850 rpm keine Vibrations- und Rattergeraeusche wie die SilentWings 2. Ich habe Luefter mit den Pin-basierten Entkopplern angebracht so wie vorher auch. Nach wie vor hat man hier die Einschraenkung, dass man sie damit nicht an Bohrungen fuer Radiatoren anbringen kann (die Spitze der Pins ist zu gross), so wie es das SilentBase 800 an der Front hat - hier muss man tatsaechlich Schrauben vom Gehaeuse benutzten was der Sache aber keinen Abbruch tut. Solche Schrauben passen auch durch die Entkoppler fuer die Pins, die meines Erachtens nach besser isolieren. Ist etwas muehselig zu montieren, aber es geht. Die Luefter sind nun selbst bei maximaler Drehlzahl nur durch den Luftzug vernehmbar, was als angenehmes Rauschen wahrgenommen wird. Kein Rattern und keine Resonanzschwingung am Gehaeuse. Unter 800 rpm sind die Luefter nur noch mit Konzentration und unter 650 rpm gar nicht mehr wahrnehmbar. Man hoert ebenfalls keine Geraeusche beim Veraendern der Drehzahl aus dem Leerlauf heraus. Aus meiner Erfahrung reicht es die Luefter bei 650 rpm zu limitieren - voellig ausreichend um ein System mit 135W CPU zu versorgen. Das ganze hat natuerlich seinen Preis, ich scheute zunaechst nochmal 100 EUR nur fuer Kuehlung auszugeben. Da ich so allerdings eine unhoerbare Workstation erhalte, war es mir das Geld wert. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, von den SilentWings 2 umzusteigen, falls damit wie bei mir Schwingungen aufs Gehaeuse uebertragen werden.
