Marukome Miso Tofu Soup Mix Dry .96 oz

For the price that I got it for originally, it was totally worth it and bought two boxes site unseen. They are easy because they just go in a cup and hot water. The taste is miso soup and I like the little bits of tofu. I can make this anytime because I have me selling Dashie, but the tofu is a pain in the butt and this makes it easy.

I discovered and fell in love with this while in Hawaii, where they sold them at a "big box" store. Taste great, no MSG, and easy to prepare; and according to reports, miso soup is healthy. Although I have no complaints about this product, I am very displeased with the distributor/seller, JVS. I ordered the soup October 22, 2013 and received it on October 31, 2013. All 10 packages (3 soup mixes/package) have a "Best By" date of November 12, 2013. In order to get the best flavor out of the soup, I have to consume 30 cups of miso soup in 12 days!!!! My last remaining package of miso soup from the Big Box store in Hawaii has a "Best By" date of June 2014. I don't plan on ordering from JVS again since their stock is near expiring dates. UPDATE: Sent seller (JVS)feedback about my issue with the "Best By" date and they quickly responded to my concerns and sent a replacement order right away. Because of their favorable response to my concerns, I now feel that buying from Amazon and JVS is relatively risk-free and am changing my rating to 5 stars.

This dry soup miso and tofu is just fantastic. Very high quality and great tasting. Personally I add a bit less water than recommended b/c I like the strong and salty taste. Highly recommend!

This miso soup mix is a good substitute for the stuff you get from restaurants. Use it as is to add to it to give it an extra flare.

The flavor is right up there to being the original miso. Has tofu, spices, seaweed, etc. I buy the nori sheets, cut them, and put them in my miso bowl. I enjoy every bowl that I make. I do want another serving, but I can't have that because I have to watch my sodium intake. Great tasting miso soup!

It's genuinely the best commercially made miso "just add water" soup I've had.

I used to buy the one that came in a cup for use at work but now that we are working remotely this is better since I don’t need the cup. It’s very expensive as I could get it for 1/2 the price at my local japanese market. My mother loves this easy to prepare miso soup so I don’t mind the price.

Very good quality and taste. I buy this often. I look for the best value, and Amazon Fresh delivered just that. I don’t always see that it’s available though. Buy it when you see it!
