What about those plugs that sit outward and sideways..would it fit in the box

Amber, sorry about not responding sooner than this. The inside measurements of this box is 3 inches deep, 3 1/4 inches wide, and 5 1/2 inches high. If you look at your outlet cover I would say that if the plug does not exceed the outlet cover by more than a quarter of an inch, then I believe that this cover will hold those plugs that sit sideways. As far as the depth of the plug, you have 3 inches of depth and I believe that it will be able to hold and cover a charger plug.

Will this fit over a phone charging block like for Samsung chargers?

It should fit over most phone charges. The inside dimensions are listed in the description

Will it work to cover phone jacks too or just electrical outlets?

It attaches by a center screw which matches the one on electrical outlets and comes with two back-plates, one that has cut-outs to match electric sockets and one that is just one large rectangle. I doubt it would fit most phone jacks because of the central screw, but maybe...
