I got just the one sheet. It was enough for the front door base of my truck. IT WILL RIP IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL AND GET ITS Adhesive on you or something you laid it on by mistake.

Will this work as insulation to keep heat out?

I used it on the inside of my doors I does say it is for heat. If your are thinking about using it for the floor pan it only has a foam back not a foil back. It is really sticky I had a hard installation since it was inside the door and hard to get to but I cut it into sections and did it that way. It did give the door a quieter sound more of a thud if you will.

Could be used for an engine bay of a boat

IT is not heat resistant it will melt or burn
