Nice touchscreen monitor... with some details.
This is a review for the Acer UT222Q. It's a nice monitor with some peculiarities. I've got one set up as a second monitor on an Acer Single Monitor Arm Mount and it uses the 100x100 VESA pattern, and it works great. The touch screen function uses a separate USB cable that needs to be plugged into your PC. With Windows 11 the touch screen works great without any drivers, but by default touch inputs show up on the main display but you can change it. Type "Control panel" into the start menu, select "Hardware and Sound" and "Tablet PC Settings" and "Setup" and hit enter to switch monitors if needed. Swipe, pinch, and other gestures seem to work fine. If you were gaming on the main screen and used the touch screen your mouse pointer is now on the small screen, so depending on the game you might have to alt-tab or click back on it. When hooked up to a Steam Deck, the touch screen works perfectly. In desktop mode in the touch screen options you can specify which monitor gets the touch input. (The onboard touch screen works normally.) So it seems to work fine with SteamOS, which uses Arch Linux and KDE Plasma desktop. The monitor has a glass screen. As one of the other reviewers mentioned it does show glare from a bright room when trying to view dark areas on the screen. Whenever your screen goes black you get a jump scare of a person (you) staring at you. This also makes the monitor about twice as heavy as you would expect. The spec says 9.85 lbs. It works just fine for normal use, but may not be ideal for watching movies or image editing. I didn't try the onboard kick-stand but it seems sturdy. It has speakers and they are terrible. The main complaint I have is the default color and contrast. For an IPS screen it looks really dull. The best results I had were setting the contrast to 100, brightness to 75, user color mode, and Red - Green - Blue all set to 50. Then in Windows, if you have a Nvidia graphics card, you can use the "Adjust Desktop Color Settings" in the Nvidia Control Panel to fix it. I increased the contrast to 60 and digital vibrance to 60. Then it looks really nice, nearly as good as an OLED. The freesync and 75hz (74.97) seem to work fine. (I don't know how to adjust the contrast and color in Linux.) The screen has 5 capacitive button on the face which are annoying because you have to look where to press while trying to adjust the OSD options. They can be pressed from either the front or bottom. The power button is somewhere in the bottom right. Overall, I think it's great. If you've got a use case for a touch screen on your PC or Steam Deck, this is a good monitor.

Great screen
great quality. The colors are vibrant and HD. Everything connects firmly and tightly, unlike other cheaper screens where connections are loose. The touch screen is pretty great and accurate. I think it is a little on the expensive side, but it's worth it. It is a little heavy.

Great Value Touchscreen Monitor for Smart Home Control
The Acer UT222Q bmip has been a solid addition to my setup. The 21.5-inch Full HD screen looks sharp, and the brightness is good enough to see clearly even in a well-lit room. I’m using it with an ONN 4K streaming box and Home Assistant through Fully Kiosk, which works perfectly for my smart home dashboard. The touchscreen is responsive and handles everything I throw at it—especially camera feeds and controls—though I did have a small issue early on that was fixed with a firmware update to the ONN streamer. That’s a plus, knowing the touchscreen can stay up to date. I really like the built-in remote—it’s simple but useful, especially the Favorites feature, which I’ve set up to jump straight into my Fully Kiosk app. The physical touch buttons on the monitor’s bottom edge are also easy to tap and haven’t missed a beat. My only real complaint is the speakers. They’re super weak, barely enough to hear anything. If you care about audio, plan on using external speakers or headphones. But since I mostly use this for visual monitoring, it hasn’t been a dealbreaker for me. Overall, I’m happy with this monitor. It gave me a big-screen touchscreen solution without the high price tag of a large Android tablet, which was exactly what I needed. For smart home dashboards or media control, especially when paired with apps like Home Assistant, it does the job well. It’s not flashy, but it’s reliable, affordable, and functional—exactly what I was hoping for.

Good Picture quality and reliable touch resonse
Good toucacreen monitor for a good price. Feels above average picture quality for a 1080P screen. Perfect size for a touch control device with a mini PC. Also happy it has Displayport and HDMI inputss

Very reflective screen, stand is weird, but great touchscreen monitor
Screen is INCREDIBLY reflective, it's not a nice matte finish like the Dell touchscreen we replaced with this. Lots of glare, wouldn't use it in a bright room at all. There are no buttons, just touch-sensitive spots on the bottom which is kind of weird. I would prefer having real buttons for the power and menu. The monitor doesn't have a standard stand, it's more like a kickstand that comes out so we mounted this onto an articulating arm for in our small shop. Overall the screen is great and has good image quality. Mounting it onto some kind of VESA mount is almost a requirement though. The high glare doesn't affect our business operations but may not be the best for in someone's house. Seems solid and well-made

Nice extra screen, reliable, and importantly, has Displayport.
I do sound recording with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). In this type of work, having two monitors is really almost required. My ASUS ROG motherboard has one HDMI, and one DisplayPort. I have Windows 10. Most monitors don't have Displayport. So if you want two HDMI monitors, you can try a DisplayPort / HDMI adapter, or buy a video card with multiple HDMI. I tried an adapter, and it worked, but was kind of flakey. The thing got hot, and if I re-booted, sometimes it would not function. Especially after one of the endless Windows updates that Microsoft insists on installing. I am not a fan of putting un-needed PCI cards in my computer. So I got this in part for the DisplayPort. And it works great. It sensed the DP signal right away, I didn't even need to find the menu for the video source. It has been very reliable. And the picture quality is just fine. And the area around the border is correct (some monitors cut off the boundaries of the screen) The connectors are mounted in the back, in a way that hides the cable, unlike many portable monitors that put the connections on the side. This keeps things neat. The folding stand works fine for my purpose. I have not tried the touchscreen.

Product of our times...
Just cant find a good touch screen for PCs now days... Seems phones and tablets are flawless, but PC touch screens all seem to be garbage... Touch one spot, see 5 other spots light up on this one... Try to swipe up on a web page and its zooming in... The other touch screen, from ViewSonic has a whole other issue, where I cant drag anything for more than a few inches without it dropping the touch...

Stylus works lousy.
I have had a Phillips touchscreen monitor for 3 years. Never had the skipping like this one, I read a lot of online comments and it turns out this is common with Acer. I've tried multiple styluses (styli) with no real success, except for a very wide tip one, which still skips at the bottom of a stroke. Cursive is a nightmare, and block letters are about 95% visible. If there is new firmware/drivers it's impossible to find them and their installation instructions. Picture quality is great. Fingers will do better than any stylus.

DUDA

too heavy
Monitor quality is ok. but it is not suitable for mobolity bc 2 reasons: 1- it is too heavy and large 2- it has to be connected with HDMI and power cables permenantly.

Réponds à mes attentes
Fonctionne très bien sur Mac mini Le seule b. Molle c’est l’identification des boutons ne sont pas très visibles. Riens à redire pour le reste.

Great for GS Pro
I'm using this for a GS Pro golf simulator control screen and it's excellent. Big enough to see without glasses and no fumbling with a mouse.
