This was exactly the right battery for my Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 8th gen laptop. Very easy to install (would have been easier if my screwdriver has been better magnetized). Extends the life of this laptop I really like for under $45.

It was working initially then today I found that the system didn't detect the battery. I then opened it up to find the battery swell up on one corner.

I am writing as person who is not mechanically or technically inclined.The battery replaces the OEM battery from the Lenovo x1 Carbon 7th gen, so easy to install, I watched a few videos on Youtube, ordered the battery,it comes with all of the tools needed to do the install , it took less than 15 minutes to install,the new battery is partially charged so after it was put in and everything screwed back in my laptop works like new,so far so good.

I was pleasantly surprised that the seller package a set of common tools to assemble/disassemble electronic devices, not only a single type screwdriver needed to replace the battery on my ThinkPad.

Incompatible with Lenovo Thinkpad Carbon 1X, laptop does not read battery.Update: Customer Service was great. They reached out and I got a full refund. Would consider purchasing from them again just not for the Thinkpad laptop

The battery doesn't hold power for too long, it dies within an hour and half. cheap quality!
