ASICS Men's Gel-Rocket 9 Volleyball Shoes

At last! The perfect outdoor pickleball shoe: extremely comfortable, good support, colors that will strike fear in your opponents, reasonably priced for old folks on fixed incomes. Oh... and traction? 'Cause your traction done lost its action?Did I hear traction? Do you want traction, me hearties? I will give you traction.... in these Asics Gel Rocket 9's. I switch off with another pair of Asics now more than 2 years old. (My other PB sneakers, made by another company whose name starts with "A", wore out. Ha on them). If you play outdoor pickleball, these sneakers are well worth it.

Started playing pickleball in the spring and needed court shoes. These had a good look and decent reviews. Ended up sending these back for the solid, black - just a visual decision Liked the black ones so much I bought a second pair for reserve. Holding up well after 6 months, playing an average of 3-4 times per week. Also wear them as casuals. Big fan of the Ascics Brand now

I bought these to play pickle ball in an indoor gym and the work well. They fit as expected and are tight so they do not move laterally when I move quickly but do not pinch in any area on the foot. The grip is nice although when the floor has just been polished you do need to scuff them up a little.

I play pickleball 5-6 times per week. I have used ASICS shoes most of the time for the past couple of years. I have played in ASICS running shoes, and those have worked well. I bought another brand of court shoes for pickleball, but the sizes were not the same as the ASICS that I have been used to. I saw these after a search for court shoes. Since they were ASICS, I was confident with ordering the correct size. Love these shoes. Have played in them about a week and a half, and absolutely no complaints. Got a good price. Got delivery in a couple of days. Everything about this purchase was great.

Only had them for a week, but I ordered them online after not playing volleyball for near 20 years. Ordered my size and they fit like a glove. Thank you Asics for being so damned reliable. You know you are going to get a good shoe, and their sizing doesn't change. I wouldn't trust any other shoe manufacturer enough to order shoes online.

Great fitting, stylish, provides the ankle support and stability I need for Pickleball. Why pay three, four, or more times for other brands. Excellent value. ASICS is my go to!

Comfortable, durable and affordable. ASICS are my go to shoe for competitive indoor volleyball. They provide great cushioning especially since I’m a bigger player (6’2” and 250lbs). I wish they’d go back to the gel rocket 7s those were perfect, but these are still far superior to the 8s. They lack some arch support, but otherwise they are great.

First, let me start off by saying that this is a great shoe for the price. The out sole is really great and is unbelievable the way it grips the floor and the shoe looks even better in real. These shoes are definitely made for people that use custom insoles and ankle braces. However, like another review, this shoe run large by 1/2 to 1 size depending on how narrow your feet are. I normally wear a 9/9.5 depending on the brand so ordered both sizes and both felt large for my feet. If you have narrow feet like me, you don't feel the shoe is hugging your feet which you need for agility in high intensity sports. The insoles of this shoe are the thickest of all insoles i have ever seen and for the first time my superfeet insoles are thinner than these insoles. As a result, the shoe felt a bit large when i tried them on with my superfeet insoles. I have tried putting the original insoles back in and kind of jumped for a while a home to get a feel for the shoe. I have immediately notices my ankles start to hurt because these insoles have no arch or heel impact support. Also,I felt a lack of cushion in this shoe (compared to my mizunos and addidas), except from those thick insoles, to absorb the impact of constant jumping in Volleyball. Bottom line: It is a great beginner volleyball shoe and you can use them for training, recreational games but if you are a competitive/ aspiring competitive player like me, you should have other supplemental stuff like custom insoles and ankle braces to make this work. Pros: Price, Space for custom orthotics and ankle braces, style and color. Cons: Cushion, not for narrow feet, runs large Note: this review is based on my assessment at home as i did not want to try them in an actual game because then i won't be able to return them.

Ich trage die Schuhe beim Hallentennis. Verarbeitung ist top. Der Schuh ist schmal geschnitten und gibt guten Halt.

Very nice asics shoe, has great flexibility compared to traditional brand shoes like Adidas and Nike. My uncle loved it and was happy to finally have a court shoe that was actually doing its job

Good fit and finish. But the soles are hard compared to older gel rocket 7.
