Debbie Macomber never fails to ensure a good story and as this is the first book of a series I have also purchased all of the series and after having read the first three books am looking forward to the next two when they arrive. I really would recommend this author to anyone enjoying interesting stories.

A big Question?
If I had read this without knowing who wrote it, I would not have guessed Debbie! It did not seem to finish properly and left with many questions, but maybe the rest of the series will give me the answers.

Funny and Heartwarming.
As usual, Debbie Macomber puts out yet another great story...or should I say two. I'd originally run across another from the, Heart of Texas, series, not realizing it was only one of six. After reading, Caroline's Child, I was hooked. Knew I had to get the others.Both Lonesome Cowboy, and Texas Two-Step were great. I finished both in only a matter of a couple of days. I love the way the cast of characters are woven throughout each book. It really builds you up to move right into the next characters stories, as they discover one another. I can't wait to get started on, Dr. Texas, and see how love plays out for, Cal.

A book to make your heart smile....
I love Debbie McCombers' books ! They are full of laughter, love and tears ! I enjoy reading "love stories" that don't have sex scenes in every chapter. In her books, you want to know the characters and you smile , laugh and cry with them ! This is my 2 time reading this series and I couldn't love them more !

Two good western romances set in the small town of Promise, Texas. Love, intrigue and family dynamics abound.
Two stories set in the town of Promise, Texas. In "Lonesome Cowboy", we see the betrayal of a family member, and the strength of a brother and sister in the aftermath. New love blooms, when a stranded cowboy is rescued by the sister and hired onto their ranch, amid the intriguing tales swirling about a hidden ghost town connected to the town's past.In the second story, "Texas Two-Step", We see love bloom among old friends despite attempts to sabotage it, and more hints at the mystery of the ghost town.
