Worked great - I use this to melt 4oz soap bars and combine them into a "brick"
I don't like little, tiny, expensive soap bars and some of the better, larger soaps here cost $12 or more. What I did is I took this double boiler, and add craft 4 oz. soap bars plus I add store bought "regular" soap like Dove or Dial that I like - and combine them into one, large BRICK which lasts me for a long time. I make my own exfoliating scrub brick now. I save money doing so. It takes some time and patience to wait for the soap to get melty, to where I can put it in a silicone mold. This double boiler set works GREAT and the top part cleans up easily. I recommend it and I will keep using this to create my large, brick, exfoliating bar with craft soap and antibacterial properties.

Good small size. Perfect for my needs
Yep, not bad. Handles are definitely handy. Spatula is brilliant ๐๐ผ best one I own. Super soft.

For cooking get a larger utensil.
The double boiler is not large enough for cooking only for melting chocolate or sugar.
