AMAZING!! I love it!!!
So I am 28 years old and had always lived with my parents until 1 month ago! (yes, PATHETIC, I know!) The reason I mentioned that is because I have been spoiled my entire life. My parents always cleaned up after my messes and I never ever ever had to cook, clean, do household chores, etc since my parents took care of everything for me. When I moved out of their house a month ago, I was freaking out about the whole 'cleaning the house' situation. First of all, I had NO idea how to clean (since I had never done it before) and second, I did NOT want to use my mother's old fashioned way of cleaning the floors with a bucket of water and mop since it is 2015 and I figured, there had to be something better out there. Anyways, 2 days ago I decided to buy this on Amazon because the floors at my new apartment were extremely dirty and I finally decided it was time to grow up and do my own cleaning!!! I read probably every single review on this product and figured it was worth a shot! It came in the mail today and I put it together in under 5 minutes. I only used regular tap water, but it does come with a cleaning solution that you could use if you wanted to. Let me tell you....this is the BEST thing ever invented!!! I rarely ever leave reviews but I was sooo amazed by this product that I felt I had to. I cleaned my entire apartment (which is pretty big) in less than 20 mins! This was sooo easy to use and left my white tile floors spotless and looking whiter than ever before. I am so excited about this product that now instead of dreading cleaning I am actually looking forward to doing it again!!! If I say I look forward to cleaning....trust me, it is because this product is UNBELIEVABLE. I thought I would never say those words..."look forward to cleaning" LOL, but with a great product such as this one, cleaning is a breeze. I really enjoyed using it and I felt so good about the end result! I cannot wait till my parents come visit me and I can show them how clean and spotless my floor looks :) They will be so proud, LOL :) If you are hesitant about buying this product, DO NOT BE! Make the purchase today, you will love it!

Very happy with the product and it's functionality.
I'm addicted to cleaning-I never feel as though my house is ever really clean though I'm only cleaning. I have 2 large dogs no yard and I always have a 3rd foster dog coming and going. I've been reviewing Hard wood floor steam cleaners for awhile now and was having a hard time pulling the trigger. This model was purposed to me when I saw it at Home Depot online 24-hour flash sale of 50% a few months back and of course they were out of stock when I finally decided I wanted to buy it. I found it on amazon and though it was not as great of a deal as when Home Depot had the 24 hour flash sale it was still under my $100 budget level. It's a great machine, it feels hardy and solid enough that if i knock into a wall or furniture I won't break any vital parts. It warms up super quick once turned on and the micro fiber pads clean super easily. My only gripe with it would be that they warm to only put their cleaning solution in it, and the one it comes with is only enough to cover about 1K square footage once. I want to know if that warning is just a marketing ploy to get additional sales on products or if it's really the only product you can use(which I doubt is true). It warns me not to use on unfinished floors and I have many pathways that the finish of my bamboo floors have been scuffed off and it still cleans. I highly recommend this product, I have been dealing with the swifter wet jet and traditional mops before the hoover steam mop and they were not removing all the dirt. After I would do two passes I would wipe the ground that was suppose to be clean with a wet paper towel and it would still show dirt, the steam mop is the only thing that has actually cleaned my floor and not just disinfected it. I;m happy it has a cord and I don't need to feed it batteries and the carpet attachment is convenient though there's only few little throw carpets in my house it has down a nice job on those.

Great steam mop that is still working two years later
I purchased this steam mop over two years ago and to this day it still does a great job at cleaning my wooden and ceramic tile floors. Even without using a floor cleaning agent, the steam alone alone can clean the floor better than a regular mop and bucket. I like to fill both tanks with water, so I can get further around the apartment without refilling the tanks that often. The tanks themselves are rather small, so you will need to stop and start a few times to refill the water. The cloth piece can also get saturated with water, so I like to stop after I have mopped a room or two and rinse and squeeze out the excess water from the cloth piece before continuing to the next room. After you have mopped a room, you should expect to have to wait for the floor to dry, but the wait time should be shorter than if you had used a regular mop. You should not expect the steam and water to dry immediately after mopping over it. The swivel head of the steam mop can fall flat, so I can push it under tables or chairs and easily get into tight spaces. It comes with a tray, so you can rest the mop on it and not ruin your wooden floors as you are taking a rest. Another benefit is that that it has an extra long cord, so I don't have to keep plugging and unplugging it as I move around the apartment. Once you're done mopping, you can easily throw the cloth pieces into the washing machine. You do have to keep you finger on the trigger to release the steam, so it can be a little tiring to keep hold down the trigger as you move around, but I think that's a fail-safe mechanism to prevent you from accidentally leaving the steam mop running and ruining your wooden floors. Another issue to be mindful of is that once you slot the water tanks back into place, make sure they are securely pushed in, otherwise the mop will not generate any steam and it may take you a while to figure out what has gone wrong. I have lent my steam mop to my neighbors a couple of times and they love it and prefer it over the Swiffer mop that they use. I have also recommended this product to my friends and family, so I would rate it highly.

I regret my purchase
EDITED 12/28/16: I regret my purchase. I've now used the mop 6-7 times, and I feel like a Swiffer mop would be equally or more effective. If the mist emerging from this mop it steam, I'll eat my hat. It looks and feels more like mist from a humidifier. It is warm, but not hot, and does not leave the floor warm. This results in a very wet floor, making it unsuitable for wood floors. If I could return it I would. I'll be purchasing a new Shark steamer.************************** I purchased this to replace a Shark Lite & Easy Steam Mop which stopped producing steam. Thus far, I've used it 3 times. It produces a lot of steam, and quickly. My first project was an old vinyl floor, off-white, in an 80s tile pattern. It took some scrubbing, but using only steam, the floor is an amazing 2 shades lighter. The second project was cleaning my new vinyl plank floor. It cleaned pretty well, but required some vigorous mopping to get dirt out of the faux wood grain in the floor. Third project was steaming a new area rug to relax the fibers and help the fold marks fade. Steaming seemed to make no difference for this task. The mop pads are thin with a terry-like low pile. The pads do not move smoothly over the floor, which made mopping a bit of a chore. I think the thicker, longer-knapped pads from the Shark worked better, so I will try and find something similar for this mop. This mop includes a second tank for a cleaning solution. One reason I wanted a steam mop is to avoid the need for a cleaner. I might try using white vinegar in this tank, but for now I am just using plain water. A drawback is the steam is emitted from one vent in the center of the mop. I would prefer if there were more vents. It also leaves the floor far wetter The mop includes a filter to prevent mineralization clogging the steam vents. I hope this works; time will tell. The jury is still out for me on this mop. The construction feels studier than the Shark, but unless it lasts far longer, I think the Shark would be my first choice.

Weak Joint Thingy
Bought this steam mop on January 2013, and it died late 2014 (August-ish?). The part that broke on me is the part where the head of the mop connects to the body of the mop. It seems like it is very brittle plastic there, and it is unable to take the constant abuse from the weight of the system as well as the stress from friction caused when mopping. It first started off as a small broken plastic piece I found on the floor after mopping, and it slowly start disintegrating over time. It is now no longer able to stand without leaning against a wall or counter, and it no longer able to mop the floor. With all this being said....I am going to be buying another one, and here is the reason why: I have owned numerous floor cleaning products and steam mops, and this mop does do a wonderful job. It is easy to maneuver, is not too heavy, and has a nice long cord. The dual tank system is also great for when you want your floors smelling nice or need that extra cleaning power. The refills are not too expensive either, nor are the microfiber cloths. This time, I will be seeing if there is a way to reinforce the part connecting the mop head to the body so I do not encounter this problem again. I am thinking of buying a PVC pipe that would fit over that piece, cutting it in half, putting some sort of bonding putty or rubber on the inside, and using a pipe clamp to clamp it onto the part that needs reinforcing. I am hoping this works, but if it lasts a little over a year again for me, I would still be happy. Originally purchased this mop at $100.00 through Amazon, and now I see they have decreased in price to a little over $80.00. It is also fair to say that every steam mop I have owned has been broken in about the same time frame aside from the Shark steam mop I had which I believe was the original Shark steam mop to release many years ago that lasted me about 3 years before the coil died on me. I do hope that Hoover will somehow strengthen that part of the mop, but until then, I will see how my idea holds. Other than the weak part on the mop, I think this is a great steam mop.

Best $80 you can spend on a mop!
I was worried this would seem like a ridiculous amount of money to spend on something to mop floors. I was very pleasantly proven wrong. My entire house is tile and hardwood floors, which while being attractive always feel dirty to me. I like to go barefoot and it drives me crazy that the floors don't feel clean. Combine the Hoover twin tank with a Dyson cordless and even I can give the impression of a good housekeeper! Physical attributes: it is light but not a feather. It will feel heavier then a Swiffer, but that is to be expected. The button must be held down, but I really don't find that a bother. The tanks are easy to fill and last for quite some time. Cord is nice and long and made of a good material making it easy to manage. Cleaning: this is the most important part! I have tile floors that came with the house when we bought it. They are beautiful but carved very deep and have significant build up of grime in all the crevices. I made it through about half the floor scrubbing on hands and knees with toothbrushes, sponges, scrub brushes, etc, etc. It took me about 8 hours between two days to do half the floor. I then gave up. I hit the other half of the floor with the Hoover as soon as I got it and did the work of 8 hours in about 10 minutes! The tile is perfectly clean and all I had to do was pass it back and forth slowly about ten times while remaining vertical! I am in love! General cleaning with just steam is also effective and makes quick work of your normal mopping tasks. I feel confident that the floors are clean and build up can now be avoided. A quick note about the pads: I have seen some reviewers complain about a film being left behind when they first used the mop. I have also seen some comment about washing the pads to alleviate this problem. Out of curiosity I tried them without washing and in fact got the film and after washing resulting in no film. Seems to be a finish or treatment used during manufacturing that is easily removed. To sum it all up: buy it so you can go do something fun instead of spending all that time mopping.

AMAZING JOB ON MY 15 YEAR OLD FLOOR!
After I saw a dirt devil steam mop on sale at a local department store for $40, I decided to look in to purchasing one. I am an avid review reader on anything before making a purchase. After reading the horrible reviews the dirt devil received, I decided to look at other steam mops. (because I really hate mopping). I read the reviews and narrowed my search to the hoover twin tank. I then went on you tube and watched a couple of videos of people actually using the steam mop and listened to their feedback. I took the plunge and made the puchase and am super happy. I did spend a little more than double the price of the dirt devil for the hoover but what is the use of owning something that does not work. Now my kitchen floor is about 15 years old, an ugly vinyl that we are saving to replace when we redo the entire kitchen. But until then, I figured why not keep it clean. The hoover worked exactly how it was described, the floor is clean, dries well, and gets quicker and easier to clean each time I use the steam mop. The head goes right underneath the edge of the cabinets which is something I dread doing on my hands and knees. I have read in other reviews that it streaked their floor. The only time I had issues with this was the first time I cleaned with the steam mop because unknown to me, my floor was filthy, and to think my grandkids were crawling around on a floor I mopped by pushing dirty water around ugh. The streaks came because of it being so dirty, I needed to go over the same area utilizing more steam to get all the years of dirt off, also if your floor is as dirty as mine was, make sure you change the pad more often, if you are pushing a completely dirty pad around on the floor, it will create dirt streaks. Since I spent the extra time steam mopping my floor the first time and got all the dirt off, each time it takes me 10 to 15 minutes total to do my small bathroom, small laundry room, small hallway, and really large kitchen. I owned a shark several years ago that really did not produce enough steam that is not a problem I have with the hoover. The solution works well and is not expensive considering I now use about 1/2 of the solution tank weekly. (after the first deep cleaning)

Good mop, important design flaw. BAD customer service.
** update ** Customer service is very very poor. I was so annoyed with their lack of customer care I wanted to update this review. I am not one to write reviews only to complain. Hoover was supposed to send me a new canister but changed their minds and sent me an email asking for a receipt and proof of purchase. I sent the info, copied my rep on the email and waited. Days passed, I followed up. No response. Weeks passed, I followed up. No response. I am still under warranty. There used to be a time when buying tried and trusted name brands like Hoover use to mean something. It was unacceptable to ignore my followups. Hoover, dont offer customer service, and dont offer warranties if you dont stand by the quality of your products. I had recommended this to family and friends and Hoover had 2 additional purchases because of me. Now, I will look at their competitors - there's just too much competition to take your customers for granted. Sidenote, I am still using it with rubber bands but the solution pump now has stopped working. Gave up on Hoover. *** original **** great in concept, serious design flaw. The good.... it really feels like it cleans the floor, and I swear the first time I used it my floor seemed a shade whiter. I like the triangle mop angle because it can squeeze into tight corners (aka around toilets). The rectangular mop heads are not as flexible. The underbelly solution canister constantly pops off when you are mopping because it faces down. There are two very thin plastic clips that hold it in, but they do not last very long and are very weak for the weight it must hold. Right now, I'm using a thick rubber band to hold it on. *Hoover is replacing the canister for $9 + shipping. I have my own issues with my two customer service calls but did not want it to affect the product review itself. But an example... *one peculiar question the rep asked me when taking my purchase details (name/address/purchase date, etc) was what was my husband's name?. I asked the woman, "you are assuming I am married?" [I am BTW] and then she hung up on me for saying this was an odd question. The second rep I managed to get thrpugh to was much nicer and more professional.

A Cool Cleaning Tool
This has to be the best mop I have ever used!! Can't say enough great things about this excellent product! Effortless to use, cuts regular mopping time in half because the pad is quite large, and it makes an otherwise not-so-fun chore pretty enjoyable, I must say. Love the long cord, definitely a huge plus. Heats up quick, and is ready to go in probably about 30 seconds. It gets in all the corners, and the house just feels ultra clean after I'm finished. I haven't yet tried the cleaning solution, because the steam-only feature does such a fantastic job. I have noticed that you don't have to squeeze the trigger all the way for steam, just a light press is all you need, and that way there's no hand fatigue. I highly recommend this versatile and well-made mop that'll really make your floors shine! 5 stars all the way!!

Poor craftsmanship/materials but works super well.
Works really well, however it isn't stable standing up.. fell and cracked the handle. It's meant to stand up... it has a base for it. Kinda crappy craftsmanship. But it was easy to fix. Also the water resovior fall out soometimes when it's being used.
