Live Bearded® Beard Butter, Tombstone, Sweet Tobacco, Cedar, 3 fl oz

This beard butter is an excellent consistency. It is definitely sufficient for softening my beard and moisturizing the skin. It's not super greasy, but also has a light hold. There is plenty of product that will last me a long time and therefore, I consider the value to be good for the price point. However, I am not a huge fan of the scent. It states it should smell like sweet tobacco and cedar, but it honestly seems to smell more like bubble gum to me. I kissed my wife this morning after applying it and she said I smelled like Big League Chew bubble gum! Haha. That aside, I'm pleased, but it's a rather scent-heavy product so with it being a scent that isn't quite what I had in mind, I'm a little disappointed. I'd like to try another scent from the same brand next time.

I’ve just started buying products from these guys. I’ve already spent around $200 on oils, wash, conditioner and now $20 on beard butter. After getting the seal off of the top of the jar (as someone else said in their review) there was a big air bubble and it was melted. If you tap it on the counter to see how much product is actually in the jar… you get about 2/3 a jar as you can see in the photos. It’s a brand new jar. Really? For 20 bucks?? Does anybody care about quality anymore? I mean, I’m not bashing these guys but, if I’m not the only one experiencing this then it’s time for a little quality control. And if you try to tell me that the amount of product matches the amount mentioned on the outside of the jar, then use a smaller jar. Otherwise you’re in the category with potato chips. I’d give it three stars because I’m “disappointed” but I’ll give it four because it’s a decent product. I mean, take some pride in your product… I mean 20 bucks is absolutely crazy for this and I’ll pay it but, give me what I pay for. Sorry for the rant, but I mean…WTF!

I would give a 5 star review for the product, but lowered the review due to issues with Amazon. I had the same experience as Tom, regarding ordering Live Bearded product through Amazon. I ordered the Live Bearded Beard Butter (Tombstone). When I opened the product, it had separated. I stirred it up, but it has again separated when I used it a couple of days later. It's now pretty messy to store. The product is good, conditions my beard well, and has light-hold capabilities; however, it must have gotten pretty heated in the Amazon warehouse, causing the emulsifier to break down. In the future, I too will order directly from Live Bearded, which I had done for my first purchase. As Tom mentioned in his review, the few dollars saved isn't worth an inferior product upon arrival.

This is a good product, but the packaging is deceptive. The jar that I received was only about 2/3 full (up to the apparent full line). If you measure the full jar height, only a little over half. The Every Man Jack brand that I buy is full to the brim by comparison.
