Premium quality LED, probably the best I’ve ever used. Remote control from your phone, super good app even includes ai to make bring your dream ambiance to life it’ll change color on its own and it’s super smooth! Wayyy brighter than most and almost a perfect fit for my entire room. It comes with a protective coating to make it super durable and long lasting. Only issue I had was it’ll slightly lag on and off for a split second not too often maybe due to the ai but other than that it’s perfect!

I love these lights i have so many of them in my room. These are synced to my Govee TV Backlight 3 Lite. That is the video of them doing the color of whats on the tv. I will say that i had my last set for about 4 years until the power bring stopped working so i had to fine one at a home depot or lowes but then i didn't like that it wasn't what the lights came with so i got a new set. The strip is great when it comes to quality and brightness. You get some different diy and other preset ways to control them. I use my Echo device to do sunrise and then when my alarm goes off it looks like im waking up to the sun and its not too bright it slowly illuminates. My Tv is Google so when i ask it to turn on my PlayStation of Xbox it will change them to the corresponding color for that system. Then when i have music mode on they all sync together like im in a club. The set up is easy but since they strips are solderer to the controller make sure you plan the rout of the light. You do have a few ways to control them. There's the controller on the strip, i would recommend the app it gives you so many options and and color setup. Keep and eye on the power brick cool i had two of the previous versions and their brinks stopper working so i had non working lights.

I decided to use these strips for crown lighting and was impressed at the results. I installed them on the furring strip with the attached 3m tape and hot glued the corners. (I didn’t use the ribbon loop for corners as recommended, but rather made the corners wide so as to not stress the strips). Setting them on the furring strip behind the moulding was enough to diffuse the light so you don’t see the individual diodes. I know Govee says you can’t cut these strips, but you can; as long as you’re mindful of what you’re doing and how these lights work. Make sure you use good connectors and reattach cutoffs back to where you cut them off for the sake of continuity for the lights dynamic modes. Do your research first! But this was my first time ever working with led strips and I had no trouble cutting and installing connectors and extensions without affecting the light’s functionality. I recommend the waterproof connectors from the nighthawk store on here. They’re black and clear and good quality. Make sure to get waterproof connectors for these strips; even if you’re not installing in a wet environment. “Waterproof” designates the dimensions of the connectors. These lights have a water resistant coating and the waterproof connectors allow for that extra clearance for the coating while ensuring a tight fit. The technology and customization abilities within their app is where these lights shine above the competition. Having played with these for weeks now, I’ve only begun to scratch the surface of all that they can do. The app interface is very user friendly, but with so many possibilities for customization; I’m still finding new features and capabilities. My only issue with these was installation given that the light strips themselves are hardwired to the system. I wish that you could disconnect the strips like you can the power supply. Allowing more disconnection points in the wiring between power between inverter/switch and switch/strips would make installation easier. Also offering different lengths of cords for the above would allow the customer to be able to customize their installation and put the on/off switch at the most convenient point. It would also help the customer get a cleaner overall finish without having to hide cords, install new outlets, or have the equipment be an eyesore. These are just a recommendation for Govee’s future designs, but I couldn’t justify it as enough to lower my rating of the product. I have Phillips hue bulbs all over my house and was going to install their version of led strips for my project until I saw the price tag. Govee’s version are a fraction of the cost, without sacrificing quality. I’ve never played with the Phillips led strips, but I really can’t imagine what they could offer that would outperform Govee. Very satisfied with this purchase and you will be too.

Feb 2026- these run on automation every day for the last 1.5 years, which is turn on in the morning, and then at evening time turn on 3/4 sections for a nice dim lite going to bed. The sections that run that automation are starting to dim. So we've swapped the sections that run that automation. I'll update how they hold up. July 2024-We opted to put ours in a aluminum track with a cover to give a more muted look. These are fantastic though and you CAN cut them, even though it says you can't. You just won't have functionality for the part you cut in the app. Cut on the solder joint and make sure you use some hot cut to cover the exposed metal. Ez. Works with alexa. Connects to the app. Dims great. Presets are a bit flashy but it's fine. Runs automation (turns on every morning 8am) extreme value for money. Only one issue which is that the actions come from the middle so you can't have a full spiral. And you can't control each strip independently. They stuck great though and it was very easy to do. I could see so many more uses for this, it's that verstile. Love govee.

Ive had various Govee strip lights and they work great, they are easy to set up, have fun functionality, sync with smart devices easily and are a great value for the price. The only downside is that they are not very durable. Most of the time my usage has been on the warm white setting and i noticed that parts of the strip are turning blue/cyan on a few of my lights. After googling i found out that this is due to the red lights giving out. I still keep buying them but now i know their lifespan is around 2-3 years.

I installed two of these sets on a section of kitchen cabinets - one on the top for fun lighting effects and on underneath to act primarily as tall lighting or a nightlight. These sets were easy to install and fit the space perfectly (after I measured beforehand). The app is easy to use for control, and I like the physical on-off button for further ease. They paired easily to my home WiFi network, and have been issue-free so far - no flickering or other color issues. They've been stable and the tape has held pretty well so far except on one tricky bend. Awesome kitchen lighting upgrade!

Pros: Great product! They were easy to put up and the adhesive has worked super well so far! We hooked ours up to Alexa and it was the best decision, worth every penny! The app has a huge variety of different colors and sequences to control the LEDs (if you don’t use the remote control). I personally would recommend this brand of LED over any others especially with the Alexa function/option. They’re super easy to use and navigate! (rainbow-a is the color sequence selected in the video, and all other furniture are Amazon items as well) Cons: It comes in two seperate rolls, that are connected at the wire. So that made it difficult to measure/put up since we had extra. Luckily we just put them under the desk (as seen in video)

We had an issue with the item, which Govee has resolved to my satisfaction. We love the striplighting kits we have ordered, and continue to enjoy the ability to control colours and illumination temps of the lights in each room where we have installed them. I would highly recommended this product for those who want a different kind of lighting in their home that can be controlled on your phone if preferred.
