10 Strawberry Street Simply White 7" Round Cereal Bowl, Set of 6

Exactly as advertised. This is my second set.

The line of Strawberry Street dishes is perfect for everyday use, and I've been able to match white specialty dishes from other vendors on Amazon. These are reasonably priced and show off the food well. I like the different sized plates, and all the dishes easily fit in my dishwasher and clean up well.

I ordered these because I needed a replacement for 2 bowls that got broken from my previous set. When they arrived, I noticed that the new ones are much thicker and the white is different from my original set. If I weren't trying to match the previous set, they'd be fine, but they don't match. The previous set was more like a porcelain bowl, slightly thinner and much whiter. These are like restaurant bowls.

Bought these to use for soups and salads and they work well. We also enjoy our plates from the same company.

Bridal registry purchase-the bride chose these and said she really likes using them. They are an appropriate size for cereal or salad, sturdy but not too heavy, and classic looking. I haven’t tried them myself, so I can’t entirely verify, but she was very appreciative I purchased them for her, as she picked them out.

I ordered 6 of the 7-inch coupe bowls. I should have measured because they were a bit larger than I expected. But, that's okay, they will make for good soup bowls. Five of the six bowls are very nice. However, one of the bowls has a black dot inside the bowl that cannot be cleaned off because it was baked into the bowl by the kiln. It also has some uneven ceramic work, also on the inside of the bowl. Doesn't 10 Strawberry Street have any quality control to keep bowls with defects from shipping out? A "simply white" bowl should not have any black dots.

I like the bowls - they are what i wanted. Just hope they last a long time

They arrived very well packed by Amazon and undamaged. I had previously bought four of there bowls from Marks and Spencers here in the U.K. but they no longer stock them, so i was looking for replacements. The originals were excellent quality. These were of lower quality. The original label on the base was underneath the glaze - these had "stick-on" labels. The originals were brilliant white colour - these were greyish. The originals had the standing part of the base covered in smooth glaze - these were unglazed pottery. As the Amazon cost was the same price as I paid in M & S. I am left wondering if these are genuine articles and have paid top money for inferior goods.
