Was loud in my old box, I cannot hear it in my Fractal Define 7 case but these are known to be loud. Working after 1 year. Constant write from Blue Iris.

Ordered a Network Video Recorder without the HD because of the price the vendor wanted. I saved about $30 on this and got free shipping. It didn't have mounting screws but, I had plenty of extras. It was easy to mount to the bottom screw holes. You can capture a lot of video with 10TB of storage capacity. I like the SATA III speed. This drive is also designed with a 512MB cache which is nice. It has a spin rate of 7200RPM so this is a well designed drive. It is a good alue for the money and I will not hesitate to buy another one.

Bought this for a NVR and it's been going strong for the past year with no hiccups or errors. Would def recommend.

Went bad after not even a year in use

Quiet - slight clicking noise but not loud. I read that the drives get louder as they get larger but that over 10tb uses a different technology and is quiet. Glad I got the larger drive. Screws were supposed to be included but were not. Only problem was screw hole pattern was different (which apparently it is for all drives over 10tb) - 2 of the 4 screws lined up. Called mfg and WD - both said use 2 screws and if feel needed, add double side tape & spacer for other side. This is what I did - worked fine. My understanding is these HDD drives can be a problem with vibration but only if you move them while they are running. Then powered off, HDD is locked. Very happy with purchase.

Reliable item for a good value. Used in professional CCTV system, and i have no issue with it whatsoever for now.

Bought a couple of these for a security camera system. Easy to install lots of space. Time will tell if they hold up with 5 camera's recording 24/7. Another thing these particular drives are very noisy. Make sure your system is no where near you or the ticking of the drives writing all the time will drive you nuts.
