How well is this helmet under the sun? Cause i do most of welding out under the sun

It functions well in the sun, although there’s a bit of glare. But it’s still like having a black pot on your head that cooks you. I doubt any black welding helmet will do any better though

What is the difference in this Lincoln k-3034-4 and the Lincoln 3350 helmets

I confirm "Amazon Customer's" answer - the K3034-3 is the previous generation (with glossy black finish), without the external grind mode button; a YouTube review I saw stated that that model doesn't have any internal LED indication of when you are IN grind mode. This model, the K30304-4 (which I have) is a flat-black finish, and HAS the grind mode button. In addition, the internal LED flashes every few seconds when you're in that mode, and I find that to be very useful to keep my situational awareness that I'm in grind mode, so I am reminded to switch OUT of it when I'm ready to go back to welding.

In the pictures it shows multiple different designs but there is nowhere to select which one. Only give option to buy the black. Is there any others?

The different helmets have specific part numbers, choose the one you want and the part number is besides it. Search that specific part number

Anyone know what hearing protection (ear muffs) will fit with this helmet? And any respirator that will work fit this helmet?

I'm a beginner welder and I wanted a decent helmet to start out with ads my eyes are very important to me. Well turns out this helmet was even better than I Had anticipated. My dad welds all the time and has now claimed it as his own. the other 6 he has just collect dust now. The auto visor works flawlessly, and the puddle is very clear to see while welding. easy operation even with gloves on to switch to grinding mode.

My last one lasted me roughly 12 years and took a lot of abuse since I'm a full time welder, although I had a fair bit of black tape holding things together it has lasted with no issues in performance. This one I'm hoping will last just as long, love the big viewing area. The only thing I have noticed is at times it is slow to react when striking an ark even with the sensitivity set up.
