How thick is this material? 7mil or less? can i get a small sample before i purchase?

The total thickness is 10mil.you can search ASIN:B07MCZ7RXK on amazon to buy it (this size is 20"x20')

What is the mounting fluid used for installation?

I can’t remember what was recommended but from past experience I used both a baby shampoo/distilled water and alcohol/distilled water solution. Use the shampoo solution mostly but the alcohol solution when you want quicker adherence like around curves
