EDIT TO ADD: it's now been 2.5 months since I've been using True Skin. That very prominent dark spot on my upper lip is so faded it's no longer the first thing you notice when you look at me! It also had a rough texture to it that caught, and held, foundation. The texture is now smooth! This stuff is amazing! Can I give more than 5 stars? Because it deserves it! ORIGINAL POST: Where has this been my whole life? I tried this because it was rated high for dark spots and I have a very prominent sun spot by my upper lip. The spots are lighter and the rough texture is smoothing out. My skin feels soft and the appearance is bright, moisturized, and firm. I had a friend who hadn't seen me for a few weeks tell me I look wonderful and life must be treating me good. I told her it was True Skin! I apply this once a day, with a second application on my dark spots. I'm amazed and extremely happy with the results. Its so easy to use and I'm getting better results than I've ever gotten with the more expensive products. It smells good, too!

So let me just start by saying. I am a thirty three year old African American female with tan skin. For years I have struggled with dark spots and textured skin. What I mean by that is visible pores and just roughness. Maybe because the only real care I was giving to my skin was a Dove moisturizing bar and letting the water dry on my face. Sometimes I would use a coffee scrub or a sugar scrub mixed with various other ingredients (honey, salt, and olive oil.) This worked wonders. The year's do pack on to the face and skin. Let's be honest. I was looking dried out! Like my skin needed a moisture infusion. I bought the true skin moisturizer and Super c serum a year or two ago. Once in a while I would use them. The first time I tried using these products consistently it broke me out. Like black heads and little zits. Not cool. Now that I'm thinking about it my skin seemed to be purging all of the gunk and bad stuff in my pores. All I know is that I was not a fan. Fast forward a few months. I love this stuff. My face has never looked better. My wrinkles are less noticeable. My skin is soft and moisturized. Also my dark spots are almost completely gone aswell. I have glass skin. This stuff does tingle when you first put it on. Sometimes I like to wet my fingers to spread the product. Love this stuff. Just got a second bottle. The lid did come apart when I opened the bottle. It was sealed super clean and professional. With a plastic layer that had the perforation. All I had to do was retighten the lid and press down to reseal the squeeze part of the glass dropper to the screw lid. I'm just so happy with this product. Worth every penny. I've also been using bliss pumpkin enzyme mask. Take the time to be kind to your skin! It's very important. Just a warning. I was very oily the first month of using this product consistently. I also use this c serum twice a day. Honestly I enjoy an oily wet looking face. Lol. Just be warned. I also don't wear makeup. At all. I probably could get way wonderfully with some concealer. My skin always looks dewy and smooth with this product. Super moisturizing and healthy. Please try! Lol. I'm drinking the coolaid.

This is a nice serum. It goes on well. I think my skin tone looks better. My wrinkles do not seem to be diminishing. It smells pleasant. I wish the price was lower but will buy again.

Follow up: when I wrote this review I was contacted by customer service because a I requested an exchange past the return allowed date. I was told they would be sending me the original Vitamin C serum 2 oz bottle no charge to replace the C plus I couldn’t use. That was weeks ago and I still haven’t received it or anything from Amazon about it. All I have is the email from customer service telling me to let them know when I got the bottle from Amazon. It’s an older email so I can’t find it. So I am writing this to let them know I never got the 2oz bottle of the original C serum that I was promised. I can’t use the one with retinol and can’t use it so since I’ve been waiting on the bottle of the original C I haven’t been able to use it so I haven’t had it for over a month or two now while I sit and wait for the promised bottle. I haven’t ordered it because they were sending me the free replacement order without the need for me to return the bottle I have. It seems as if they forgot. If I knew they weren’t going to follow through at least I could have just ordered the original C myself. Instead I’ve just been sitting here waiting weeks when they promised I’d get it in a couple of days! My aesthetition swears by these products and I love them. I have the cleanser and eye cream as well as the Serum and the rosewater toner. I wish the Niacinamide was in the regular formula but I cant use the C plus because it has the Retinol and I already use Retin A at night. So Im switching back to the original C, which I love. I use the serum in the morning and it soaks right in leaving my skin soft and dry. I dont even need a foundation because it makes my skin flawless but if I need to I can since it absorbs so well and is lightweight and leaves my skin tightened soft and dry. Which looks great on its own or with makeup ontop since there is no sticky residue. I use it twice a day when I take a break from my retin A every 4 months. It smells wonderful just like oranges and spreads easy. A little goes a long way so it lasts and the price is way more affordable than other serums. Ill never switch to another serum! When I commented that I cant use it because of the Retinol but was past the return date, customer service was as great as the product, getting back to me super quick and sending me a bottle of the original one I prefer for free without having to make a return. I dont have a reason to ever try another serum again!

This is a great vitamin C serum. Priced right and works well. Brightens my skin. With moisturizer and sunscreen it plays well under makeup. I’m happy with it. Nice addition to your daily routine!

I am 46 years old and began using the TruSkin products about 10 months ago, but I saw results somewhere between 30-60 days. Please give the product some time to see fantastic results. **The C-Plus Super Serum does sting a bit and make my skin a little red very briefly after application, but it subsides super fast. Smells great and skin feels great. Must moisturize once the serum absorbs into skin. I suffered from severe acne during my late teens and early twenties and so now have acne scars. As I aged and my skin began to lose elasticity, etc, the appearance of the scars became worse. During a consultation with a plastic surgeon he suggested that the first thing I should try is to improve the overall health of my skin and that would in turn improve the appearance of the scarring. I spent a long time doing a lot of research about what would work best (Vitamin C, Vit E, Green tea, etc.) and looking for something reasonably priced and not full of toxic chemicals. I decided to try TruSkin Vitamin C Serum. I think the thing that kept me coming back for more was the very positive experience I had with the company from the start. I received a helpful and informative email from Erica. It was not pushy. It was encouraging. She encouraged me to try another 30 days of the serum and if I was not happy with my results I would be refunded. I decided to go with my gut and trust that this would be a positive experience. 60 days in (actually, sooner) I could absolutely see an improvement. I am now using not only the C SERUM, but the HA SERUM, the EYE GEL, the C MOISTURIZER CREAM, and the RETINOL MOISTURIZER every day, twice a day. To clarify, I use the C Moisturizer in the morning and the Retinol Moisturizer at night, everyday. I do not use both of those twice per day. Also, a few times a week, I use the TEA TREE CLEAR SKIN SERUM and the C-PLUS SUPER SERUM. I don't think they are meant for daily use. I tone with organic witch hazel twice a day as my first step, and as my final step, twice a day, after everything has had a chance to absorb, I finish with organic Argan or Apricot Kernel Oil. I am very diligent. Maybe once a week I may not do my nightly regimen if I am super tired. I think that it's important to be consistent. Because I use so many of the products I can't say for sure which of them may be the most helpful or if it is the combination of all of them, but I see a significant improvement in my skin and I have received compliments, which I think is the true tell. My skin looks smooth and my pores are significantly smaller. The fine lines and wrinkles are diminished. The overall appearance and health of my skin has vastly improved and because of that, the appearance of the acne scarring has improved. I know that nothing is going to make the scars go away. I just wanted an improvement and that is what I have seen. I also feel that I look younger and that is a bonus! I would not hesitate to recommend any of these products to anyone. As I mentioned, the customer service is also amazing. Erica has been extremely responsive and also proactive in reaching out, which is so refreshing. She seems to genuinely care about my experience and satisfaction. So thankful for TruSkin :)

I do apologize for not having a before/after picture, in retrospect I realize that would have been better! I had a bump in between my eyes (perfect place right 😩) and like usual I didn't wait until it was ready and I squeezed it, my nails dug in and pinched the skin right off leaving a wound, normally I wouldn't care but because of the placement I wanted it healed ASAP! I immediately applied Vaseline and in about a week it was healed, BUT it left a rather large dark spot right in between my eyes, that from a distance looked like a mole! After some research and my wife teasing me I decided on this product! I have melanated skin so I was skeptical if this would work on me, I was also worried it would make my skin oilier than what it already was, but after applying to my face for two weeks, twice a day, morning and before bed, the dark spot has lightened up significantly! Product dries fast, isn't sticky or smelly, and is a little runny if you apply to much, remember it's a serum not a cream! But it does work well! I'd say in another two weeks my dark spot should be 90/95% back to my normal skin color!

I was looking for a serum with a good combination of key ingredients for aging skin and getting rid of dead skin cells. I found this serum and I'm impressed with the way my skin feels. I'm in my 40s with sun damaged skin and also struggle with acne. This addition to my skincare routine was a great boost. It smells fresh and feels light on my skin. It is also great value for money compared to other serums with the same ingredients. Their personal customer care is also impressive! Thank you!

Light serum that is quickly absorbed, light pleasant scent. I have an oily T zone with dry cheeks and I find this product suitable for my entire face. I had a lot of blocked pores on my nose and they are less visible since using this product. Goes well under moisturiser or makeup, or use alone.
