This Router is easy to set up and is a great upgrade to my previous Centurylink router.
The Router arrived several days earlier than expected and packed securely. With help from Google search, YouTube and Century-link i managed to set up the new router and connect all of my devices. The router install only took about 45 minutes, i spent the next 4 hours tying all of my devices to the router. That was not a router problem, instead it was a failure of Google devices and security camera software manufacturers who have made changing WiFi a pain the butt. I liked that i could find my router online and easily turn off the 5mhz band to ease the connection of all of the 2.4 MHz devices. Once connected i enabled the 5 band again and was pleased that everything continued to connect and work flawlessly. The coverage is superb, my house is 2000 sq feet two story and there are no dead spots. I have a camera attached to a city light pole 50 feet in front of my house and the signal strength was great. My previous router could not handle the connected device load and frequently dropped off line. That is not a problem any more. I highly recommend this router.

Great so far...
This Zyxel C4000bz router is working great so far. Just know that unless you have an Apple or newer computer you may not be able to connect to wireless using the WPA3 Personal security setting ~ you will want to choose WPA2 - WPA3 Personal.

Bad status readings on DSL modem
I had been using a Zyxel C3000Z DSL modem for three years and it was working good. I had problems on the DSL line and Centurylink resolved the issues (bad underground cable pair). The CL tech recommended that I buy the new Zyxel C4000BG modem. He said that the C3000Z model had issues. I purchased the C4000BG and installed it. It appeared to work OK. However, the DSL Line Status was "Marginal" and it should have been "Good". My C3000Z was showing good. Also on the C4000BG, the downstream SNR was only 9.1 db. That is what was causing the line to be marginal. On my C3000Z, the downstream SNR was 15.1 db. I called the CL tech support line that was listed on the card that came with the modem. I went through the menus and CL did a system check. They said that they found issues on my DSL line and they opened a ticket for the tech to come on site. That is when I decided I needed to return the C4000BG to Amazon. The C4000BG does not provide good system indicator LEDs like the C3000Z. The C4000BG does support Wifi 6 and WPA3 - which is good.

Attractive modem.
Seems to work ok. Very easy to setup and install. Supported by ISP but unable to connect our Verizon extender to it.

C4000BG via Dontrentyourmodem-com
First off this seller is EXCELLENT, bottom line. Before I purchased a C4000BG from them I ask tons of questions and they were very quick to respond with the right answers! I'm a current Centurylink DSL High Speed internet customer. I replace a C2100T Prism modem/router. The old modem still works great but Centurylink has retired it so there is no support if it bakes. I put it away for backup. Back to this seller and their C4000BG, they shipped a BRAND NEW Centurylink C4000BG with instructions and the setup was a snap, less then 30 minutes. The new modem picked up ALL the current Centurylink network setting from the previous modem except SSID & password BUT it did FILL in my PPP Userid & Password automatically. I did have it handy just in case I needed it. All you have to do is call Centurylink Tech Support to get yours. This new C4000BG is unreal as far as Speed & Broadcast coverage! I have a 2600 sq ft one story home. I did some data gathering with the old modem, just one example my 6 outdoor security cameras were only getting about 58% connectivity now they are averaging 91%, unreal! Let me say it one more time this seller Dontrentyourmodem-com is GREAT! I would buy again with no hesitation. FYI Centurylink was more then willing to help setup this modem with me over the phone just call their Tech Support.

Excellent Upgrade from C3000Z!
Full disclosure - i'm not tech savvy, so I had to use Centurylink's chat for help with troubleshooting the C4000BG. That said, the tech walked me thru the set up, and I was up and running in about 20-min. Was reassuring to know that i'm now using WPK3 security protocol...the C3000Z was outdated (and risky to maintain). Helpful consumer note: a "Factory Reset" will help the modem/router recognize your network. Here are the speed test results: 41.2 mbps (Download) and 20.4 (Upload). During the chat, I did the speed test for the tech and he stated that this was the optimal performance for the C4000BG.

Fixed my wifi dropping issues
At the recommendation of the CenturyLink technician, I replaced my old one. He said CL had stopped supporting my old router and wasn't doing firmware updates to it, despite continually updating things at the central box. So, with some skepticism, I bought this one (for two incoming DSL lines - buy a different model for a single incoming DSL line). It has solved all of the problems we were having (e.g., constant drops of wifi devices, taking forever to backup to the cloud, dropped connections for my wildlife cameras, etc.). This one is branded for CenturyLink and came with CenturyLink instructions. I had it up and running very quickly, but I did have to reconnect all of my wifi and Ethernet devices because I changed to a higher security level, so that took 2-4 hours.

Works great
Bought this used and it works just like new. Easy set up and have had no problems with it so far. Definitely worth buying here than directly from our internet provider.
