Indoor Outdoor Thermometer Large Waterproof Wall Patio Weather Thermometer No Battery Required Hanging Decor (White)

With record breaking heat in Las Vegas, I thought it would be great to see the actual temperature in the shade on our back porch. This large dial thermometer fit the bill. The first one I ordered got lost in the mail so had to reorder it and get a refund. That’s all settled and now I can look out the back door and see how hot it really is here at the house and not the airport. So far, the highest temp I’ve seen is 121 and that was typical for almost an entire week. There’s also a hygrometer but it’s a lot smaller and you have to squint to see it. I’m also suspicious of the accuracy as it tends to show much higher humidity than the weather shows. Oh well. Still happy with it. Highly recommended.

I chose this instrument because it was a nearly perfect match visually for a wall clock we have enjoyed for years. I was initially concerned when, upon opening the package on a hot day, the thermometer was reading about 10 degrees too high. The instruction sheet tucked in the package included the unlikely recommendation in such a case to place the thermometer in a refrigerator for five minutes before checking its accuracy. After that simple step, the easily-read dial settles to within one degree of a good electronic thermometer - consistently just below. That suggests the minor difference could likely be erased by the calibration procedure.

This thing is garbage. I’m surprised it’s still for sale. It needs to be good at doing one thing and that is telling the temperature, and at that it fails miserably. It is never accurate. 75° outside? It says it’s 110°. 35° outside? It says it is 0°. I tried moving it around, calibrating it, inside, outside, in the sun, in the shade, you name it… Nada. Don’t buy it.

This is another one on wether I use 4 or 5 stars. There is no proof on accuracy but it is close enough. If somehow I get proof that it is right on then it deserves 5 stars.

just right size easy to read works great

The thermometer & hydrometer do seem to work. But for $20.00. Its not worth the price! constructed, Extremely cheap (very thin fragile plastic)

It goes to 140 degrees, awesome! We live in the desert and we’ve experienced over 120 degrees. Our last, little thermometer fell and shattered. We weren’t crushed because it only went to 120 degrees. We hung it outside, on the patio post, numbers are visible from a distance.. good product!

Works as described. Needs calibration to read correctly. Check instructions.

Love that it shows the temperature in Fahrenheit larger than Celsius. Also not battery operated.
