THE REAL CHINESE STUFF: I already knew that this stuff was great, after having gotten some from my Chinese acupuncturist. He is Chinese, the Acupuncture he does is Chinese, and so are these drops. They do more for me than simply help with coughs; they help to balance systems in my body. They help clear my head and therefore my mind, while also having mental and physical stimulation effects. STRONG: Sometimes, I cannot finish a whole drop; they are that strong. BALANCING ACT: The drops help when I seem to have something that I cannot pinpoint to a part of the body or a system of the body, like just feeling funky because the humidity is too high or low. I take one of these drops and it helps balance and stabilize me. They also affect my mood in a positive way, somehow. HANDY: I benefit from these things so much that I buy them by the case, and I keep them all around the house and with me wherever I go.

I first discovered these cough drops while I was in China. I got a cold with a strong cough and sore throat and my wife got these for me. They really helped soothe my throat and helped me control my cough. I would let one dissolve in my mouth while I slept and I was able to sleep the whole night without constant coughing. I swear that these drops also shorten the length of colds. With other drops, my cough and sore throat would come right back after finishing but not with these! When my wife came to the US she brought several packages but we eventually ran out. We were so happy to find them here on Amazon and with Prime shipping. I won't use any other lozenge than this one. The flavor is great and the menthol really helps soothe your sore throat.

I was in China when I first bought these cough drops. I found Golden Throat to be very effective with a pleasant taste without just being another candy drop.

We were introduced to this by our tour guide on a trip to China. It really does the trick in alleviating coughs, sore throat and I believe it helps to shorten the symptoms. Of course it was much cheaper in China and is more expensive than Halls, but totally worth it. Note, for those not accustomed to herbal flavors, this cough drop is 'herbally' although easy to get used to and the menthol is very strong.

I used this product when I was in China 9 years ago. I liked it so much that I asked a friend to pick me up a box when she went to China. Unfortunately, a box only lasts so long, and I was overjoyed to see that I could order it from Amazon. Now I have a good supply, and know I can get more through Amazon. This is the best throat lozenge I have ever used!

If you have a sore throat or fighting some respiratory infection, these are the things you need. I'm even convinced they can help knock an illness out if used early enough. I've used these for years after discovering them in China and used to bring back cartons to have them on hand between trips. I now travel to China less regularly, but I have a source for these here in the States! And the cost is barely more than what they cost in China! I

These cough drops are "honeysuckle" and not the original cough drops from Golden.

They worked very well initially, but once overdone, they did more harm than good. I felt like they lowered my immune system somehow making my sore throat extend into bronchitis and other unpleasant things. Eventually, I found Ricola candies work better with less side effects.
