CMON | Zombicide 2nd Edition | Miniatures Board Game | Ages 14 Plus | 1-6 Players | 60 Minutes Playing Time

As a miniature painter and tabletop wargamer a friend told me about this game. I was already excited by the huge amount of models and quality components in the box which are nicely designed printed and sculpted. After playing a few games with my girlfriend on the first night alone (we stayed up late) we got the kids involved and they love it too. The rules are easy to grasp even for my 11 year old. The gameplay is fun and it really is suitable for solo play up to 6 players and being cooperative really gets everyone talking and working together, although personally I feel it is best for 2 or 3 players. There are 25 different mission each with a bit of a different feel. Most of our games have taken longer than the stated 60 minutes by quite a bit. There is a large following for the Zombicide series of games and I have found welcoming and active communities on discord, Facebook and Instagram to support the game with no gatekeepers. The models are nicely sculpted to a good level of detail that is making them a pleasure to paint but not painting the models doesn’t detract from the game and isn’t necessary if that isn’t your bag. This edition is still well supported by the manufacturer with free content on their website and expansions still being released. If you want an idea of the rules they are available to download for free on the manufacturer’s (cmon) website. My conclusion of this game is that it is a great accessible crossover between a board game and miniatures game that is suitable for a wide variety of ages with everything you need to play in the box. Compared to a lot of miniatures games this game offers exceptional value for money with a huge amount in the box.

Great fun

This is a really excellent game that I got to know from a friend years ago and now decided to buy for myself because I loved it so much. I like that it's a cooperative game so teamwork is key rather than playing against each other. It might take a while to get the gameplay 100% but there is an introduction scenario that helps. While challenging, most missions are do-able, especially compared to some other co-op games (Looking at you, "Descent"!). It is also beautifully designed. I can only recommend to buy it and to start planning the next boardgame night.....

Great variety of scenarios and tools and maps. Only negative would be the player characters could be a bit bigger so they can be painted more accurately :)

Fun and easy game to play, with hours of missions to complete!

This is a really fun game for all the family if you like killing zombies. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I think it could have been a bit cheaper

This game is so addictive that I can play it for days without getting bored of it. Each game is special, different between them, with so many missions to accomplish and if you are creative, there is plenty of scope for a larger story or role play. The quality of the miniatures is fantastic, the cards are strong and well design, the map board match really well between them, everything is great. I play it with my partner and we both love it. You can play games for 30 min or games for 2h, however you want. There are plenty of missions in the game rule booklet to choose from, each one with different difficulties or things to do. Is definitely a complete game, quick good for it’s price, and the quality of each design makes it even more worth it. Also it comes with the gamer boards so everything is even more organised.

Really good game. It is a cooperative game, and it was really important for me, I didn't want kids to be competing against each other. Enjoy playing it as a whole family.

Easy, fun game to play with friends

Took a little bit of time to learn and figure out the rules and everything but once we got into the swing of it, it was so much fun. My partner and I were laughing so hard playing this. Would recommend for game night
