Is the opening for the chair leg the .5” dimension?

I don't know if this will help but I thought I would let you know what I did with these caps. I bought them for an old metal stool I had in my garage that had worn out pads. The diameter of the legs was .5 in diameter. I actually had to use a very small amount of WD-40 to put them on as they were very tight. I actually tried putting them on without doing the WD-40 and I ripped one. So I thought I'd mention that. Hopefully this helps.
