Exactly what I was looking for
As a mom finding time to go to the gym is close to impossible. I've searched for in home exercise equipment that meets my needs. Most important to me was finding something that was quiet. This bike fits the bill! It is so quiet that last night I was able to watch house of cards with my husband while doing a spin workout with our son sleeping in his room. No one was disturbed by the noise! I've had my bike on a trainer in the back yard for a few months but it mostly sat there because it was so loud! Next, I needed something that was stable. I hurt my knee so I've taken to biking instead of running or doing the elliptical. I've managed to fall off my bike on the trainer a few times getting on and off. This bike is stable. It is SOLID! It is so heavy (but easy to wheel around my tiled floors). It's really a quality product. I needed something with a computer to provide feedback about my exercise. Additionally most spin routines ask you to keep a cadence (or range). This bike has a computer which seems reliable (I am not so sure about the calorie output but the rest seemed reasonable). I'll wear my polar HR strap next time and comment possibly about the calorie output on the bike. The computer is easy to use and easy to set up. Speaking of set up. This bike was pretty easy to put together! My husband and I did it in about 30 minutes. It did take a while to get it out of the packaging. It was really stuck in there. Speaking of the packaging I had read before I bought this bike that it often came damaged from shipping. FedEx delivered our box open with holes in the box. It was clearly banged up. However, despite that the bike and everything was in perfect condition. We did have the speed sensor occasionally hitting the fly wheel but that was a small adjustment that we made. The styrofoam did its job in the packaging and I was shocked the bike was in such great condition. FedEx asked me if I wanted to refuse it - I am glad I didn't. Obviously I could have just gotten lucky but the bike did seem to be secured and protected despite damage to the cardboard box. I decided not to put the bike computer in the location as suggested by the instructions but rather put it lower on the handle bars. By doing this I can rest my ipad on the handle bars. I also have attached my iphone (which has spin class apps on it) to the bike using a Brica Phone Pod (http://www.amazon.com/Brica-64012-Phone-Pod-Gray/dp/B005SPZG6K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1393784251&sr=8-2&keywords=stroller+iphone). All in all I am overjoyed with this purchase. I did a lot of research to try and make sure I bought a quality quiet bike and I feel like I have succeeded with this purchase.

Awesome spin bike; best, highest quality spin bike for the price
We have owned this bike for about 2.5 months, and we absolutely love it. I was a regular runner, but started having persistent ankle issues. I like exercising alone, so group spin classes are not my think. But, I thought a spin bike at the house would be a great way to get some intense, low-impact cardio workouts - the Sole SB 900 has been amazing! I looked at 5-6 options - and did a lot of online research. The Sole SB900 is often referenced as a great, solid bike for the money. I can't agree more. I am using it 3 days a week for workouts between 40-60 minutes in length. My wife has started spinning on the bike as well - and she loves it too. She now uses it about 2-3 times per week - so together, we are using it almost daily. Very happy with this purchase. The bike is very easy to assemble. It would be helpful to have a second person with you just to hold it or position it while you attach the floor supports. The computer is pretty basic - it will show you time, MPH (or kmh), estimated distance, RMPs, and estimated calorie burn. I purchased a Polar H10 Heart Rate monitor (also from Amazon), and it works flawlessly: this H10 paired automatically with the bike's computer, and I can use the same HR monitor to pais with the Polar Beat app on my Android Phone. For the most part, the bike is very quiet. Occasionally, I will hear a clicking sound - but it only lasts for a few seconds at a time. I can't seem to replicate it or cause the sound doing anything specific on the bike. The bike is solid and sturdy. The seat is REALLY comfortable (for a bike). And the handlebars are solid and comfortable. For maintenance, I just wipe down the frame with a damp towel after each workout - and the directions say to wipe down the side of the flywheel with WD-40 once a week (which I do). The tablet holder is nice - I usually just put my phone there to view my heart rate on the Polar Beat app. Highly recommend.

Good bike,Once you get .....
Short story: ordered this bike after lots of research, reviews ,etc. since it had a 40 pound flywheel, Kevlar belt (quiet ride) and the computer shows kCAL, RPM, time, distance ridden and syncs with polar HRM (among others) and you can personalize info with gender and weight. Received it within 1 week. Issue 1: box was destroyed, but took delivery anyway from UPS and would not have been able to ship back in it. Would think a product of this weight and cost would have better packing. Box was torn in several places to about half way down and styrofoam was broken into numerous pieces. Issue: 2: Foot of bike was slightly bent where the support foot/ bar goes. Husband was able to carefully straighten it so we could attach the bar. Assembly was fairly easy, with our own tools. About 1/2 hour total time. Issue 3: flywheel is drop forged stainless steel, (I think) and was warped like a melted vinyl record. Noisy and made ride wobbly. at least 1/ 4 inch off true. I filed out registration and complaint form on SOLE web site. Heard from them in 1 day ( WAHOO!) and they sent a new flywheel out that day and the repair guy showed up on time . Replaced the first flywheel. Issue 4: Second flywheel was somehow even more warped. warped on two points. Even repair guy was amazed. Issue 5: new flywheel lacked the magnet required to generate info for computer. Repair guy ( Assemblers Inc ROCK!) called Spirit (Sole supplier) while there and had them send Flywheel #3. Received flywheel # 3 very quickly and then arranged for same repairer to install this one. It as straight!!!! wahoo again! Issue #6: no magnet in this flywheel. A quick note on the Sole web page and phone call with Spirit and I was sent the magnet. It now works as it should. While it took about 5 weeks to get to this point, 2 weeks were due to my travel or the same assembly guys availability. I was willing to wait for him since he knew what the issue was. Also, Spirit sent shipping return labels for Fed Ex returns on the warped flywheels. Both Spirit and Assemblers Inc were great to deal with. Sole was quick to respond via emails. Bike is very quiet, easy to adjust and gives a great workout. Seat is hard and more sized/designed for men. I strongly suggest a different seat or seat pad. Padded bike shorts are a help also. Bike is heavy, about 150 pounds and very steady, even at RPMs of 120 + or when standing and pedaling. Do NOT have to crank up TV/ music while riding. Can hold normal volume conversation, if so desired. Both seat and handlebars are adjustable forward, backward, and vertically, pretty much infinitely. Husband is 6' 7" and can ride this bike if set at max on seat height. Feels a little wobbly to him in that position. I am 5'7" and have no issue with the adjustments. I would buy this bike again, but hope no one else has warped flywheel issues!

Truly a BEST buy!
I have had the bike now for 6 months. There is rarely a day that goes by that at least one of us is not on the bike. Typical ride is 45 minutes. We are also avid outdoor road cyclists. Where we live, traffic makes riding outside after work dangerous, so this has been a GREAT option. Previously we used an old road bike on a trainer. I simply quit using it because it took too long to change the bike - I am 5'9" and my wife is 5'3". I am glad to be able to cycle daily again. Surprisingly there are numerous mediocre and poor reviews. Primarily they center on: lack of usefulness of the resistance knob. Some complain it does not work. Neither did mine. In shipping, the wire between the magnet and the tension knob may come apart. Simply remove the bodywork and place the wire back in the receiver. It takes about 5 minutes to remove the body work and 10 seconds to fix the wire. I called Sole and they stayed on the phone while I did this. That was the only problem. The other complaints were about how far you had to turn the knob to notice an increase in resistance. That is true and I think its a benefit. It takes about 10 full turns to go from ridiculously easy to Col de Tourmalet hard. Plenty of settings in between. NOT like a cheap, noisy spin bike with only a few settings... One said it was too heavy. Why didn't you read the specs before you bought it? The heavy flywheel also makes it durable, quiet, efficient, and have a great range. You're probably never going to move it anyway. If you need something that goes in and out of a closet - this is not for you. Some said it was a lengthy process to reset the monitor. I guess if you call pressing the right button while the unit sits on total time for 3 seconds lengthy... This is a great piece of equipment and was nearly half the price of the Keiser - the only other I would consider after MUCH research. I expect this to be more heirloom than disposable. There really aren't many things made like this anymore. CONS: Not a portable machine - it needs a permanent home. The monitor unit could be more robust, but if you're serious, you probably already have some Garmin device you are going to use anyway. PROS: Should be able to leave this in your will to someone. Virtually maintenance free. Extremely quiet. You really won't need to raise the volume on your TV while you watch the Tour de France on your DVR. Incredible range of resistance adjustment. Ability to pedal backwards with resistance (like on an elliptical) and exercise different muscles. You change out the pedals and seat just like on your outside bike easily. And the best of all - it takes about 20 seconds to make 4 adjustment to go from my wife to me (there are marks on the sliding elements, but we highlighted them in permanent marker for old eyes) I would give it a 6, but 5 is as high as it goes

Excellent bike
Bought this bike back on March 2014 for $799 + $116 shipping and now is $1299 + $66 shipping. Iam not surprise as this is an extremely well built product. It's heavy, but is extremely sturdy and even though is not completely silent the noise level is minimal. Iam adding this to my original comments, which are included at the bottom because in my opinion this is a great product. As i stated previously I've had this bike for over two years and it's performing like the first time I used it. Original comments.... If you are looking for an indoor bike that can provide a serious workout consider the Sole SB700. I spent a great deal of time researching numerous indoor bikes. There are some bikes that run for $400 and have great ratings; however, the warranty is very limited. Sole SB700 will set you back $800; however, they offer the industry leading warranty (lifetime on the frame, 3 years on parts and electronics, 1 year on labor with in-home service). This shows the confidence that they have on their product. This bike is a heavy weight, weighing 150 pounds. It's very easy to assemble, took me 30 minutes; however, chances are a second person is going to be needed due to the weight of the bike. The Sole SB700 is built solidly, it has a 48 lb. chrome flywheel, and provides a very smooth and quiet ride, utilizing a lower maintenance Kevlar belt as opposed to a chain drive belt. For those who are willing to spend $800 on an indoor bike I highly recommend this one. Although it does not have gadgets that other bikes in this price range might offer I highly doubt that the quality and craftsmanship offered by this bike can be surpassed. The bike arrived in perfect condition, though the box had a dent in one of the corners.

seems well made and does the job
Received the bike within five days of ordering, much quicker than the 2-3 week window originally estimated. The box it came in looked like this was rolled down a hill for a couple of miles, company should consider packing these better. Amazingly there wasn't a single problem with it. Assembly was very straightforward and could probably be done without the very well documented instructions, but follow them anyway - took maybe 30min to put all together. The thing is built like a tank and the heavier flywheel, at this price range, is a plus. The few preprogrammed exercises should be more than enough for most people, but you can also create a few as well. The heart monitor in the handles, the fan, convenience of cup holders, ipad, phone, etc holders and bluetooth connectivity to the Sole app on your phone are all very welcomed. Moving this around is easy with the sturdy wheels, though can't imagine needing to move this regularly. At 6ft, was able to find a comfortable position - tilting the seat angle slightly back helped incredibly with confort. Overall a really nice device for the price. I picked up the 2020 model for $600, but there is an upgraded version for $1000 which I could not justify the difference for basically the same model with a few incremental updates.

service very limited
I purchased this after a lengthy review of available spin bikes. I liked a lot of the features, sturdiness, reports of being quiet and easily adjustable to different size riders. I have enjoyed this bike for the price as I subscribe to Peloton spin classes which offer lots of choices. Here's the problem that developed: left pedal broke off from the crank axle (under warranty) so I contacted Sole which sent me a smaller size of the crank axle (not sure how or why they messed up) - obviously the belt is too long and when spinning the belt slips and work-outs are now frustratingly limited. Contact with service is like pulling teeth, I have been informed after multiple attempts to reach out that the part is on back-order and no idea when to expect this part.. I find that hard to believe that it's been over 6 weeks and with limited response and very frustrating customer service. I like the bike but this has really painted a bad picture and I could not recommend this bike given that the quality control of the axle and arm to pedals clearly are of poor quality. There are lots of choices for spin bikes and I recommend you avoid this one.

Best spin bike!
Great bike! I am so excited about riding this bike. It is so smooth when shifting speeds AND extremely quiet! I love that I can adjust it in multiple ways. I was pleasantly surprised that I can connect to my Fitbit charge 6. I just start riding, turn on the bikeโs display, set my Fitbit to spinning, and watch my Fitbit til it asks if I want to share info with my Sole bike. It is a bonus that I hadnโt expected. I love this bike! Best spin bike I have ever ridden! (FYI I have ridden many different spin bikes including a Peloton bike.)

Great Customer Service!
The bike arrived in a timely manner and is just as described. Seems of very good quality and works great. Upon unpacking the bike, one of the plastic wheels at the front (for moving the bike around) had broken in transit. I contacted the seller right away, and a package of 2 wheels arrived promptly.

Love this Bike
It took my husband maybe an hour tops to assemble and itโs very sturdy. I use this everyday, the preset programs and customization are awesome. Seat is comfortable and Bluetooth speakers and heart rate monitor work great. 100% worth the money.
