Microphone Add-On for Deep Sonar Headphones Works with PC, Laptop, Gaming, VoIP and more

When I received this product it did not work. I don't know if it is because I did not yet have the splitter adapter for the mic/headset, but it would not work for my Xbox one.

I got this to go with a removable cord mod on my ath-m30x headphones. When i first plugged it in and started fiddling with it there was nothing but bad news, there was as much static as there was voice, sound bled into the mic, the wheel labeled "microphone volume" dimmed both the mic and the headphones, and worst of all it actually degraded the sound quality of the headphones.After tinkering with things for a while i figured out that the problem was the little box that had the mute and volume so i immediately cut it off and wired it back together (p.s. you have to open up the box to find the pinout because one side has 4 wires and the other has 5 and the way they connect isn't logical looking at colors)After doing that there was only a little static, the sound quality was back, and I didn't plan on using the box anyway.So the tally is:Had to mod to be acceptable (-1)Lost some functionality when modded (-1)Voice is ok but still some static (-1)Now that it's all said and done I'm fine with it but I wouldn't buy another
