I work in health care and its not uncommon for me to come into contact with patients belongings. A few weeks ago I noticed a red itchy patch on my wrist just where the cuffs of my gloves stop. I didnt think anything of it and washed my hands and arms as normal and applied my normal lotion. A few days later I had raised up round patches in the area on my wrist and arm. I immediately knew that this was ringworm and began treating accordingly with OTC creams. It went away but then surfaced a few days later on the same arm and then spread to my other arm. So I ordered this soap. First 2 days I showered head to toe with it before and after my shift. I noticed the redness and itchiness decrease. But what I didn't expect was how soft and clean it made the rest of my skin. My scalp felt cleaner than it ever has, a few acne spots on my face cleared right up, and ive noticed that my deodorant seems to be lasting longer during my 12 hr shifts. The lather was amazing, smells good without being overpowering. Even got my husband using it now, it has improved some dry skin patches of his and honestly works better at getting his skin clean than the gritty shop soaps he normally uses. And has even helped clear up some of his dandruff. 10/10 recommend. I think this will be our go to soap from now on to keep all the ick away.

I noticed in the mirror one day that ringworm had taken over my upper back. I have absolutely no idea where it came from, it just showed up one day out of nowhere. I was horrified when I caught a glimpse of it in the mirror. In my case there was no itchiness and no scaly feeling, so maybe I had a minor case. But visually - it was awful. Red blotches were all over my upper back. It looked terrible. I'm pretty flexible, but there are parts of my upper back that I just can't reach to apply any type of OTC cream, and any sprays I tried were hard-to-position and they smelled so bad I wanted to dry-heave. I tried this soap because it's the only thing that I was able to apply to my entire back without dislocating my shoulder. I got a bar of this (expensive!) soap and within *three days* my back was back to normal. Any discoloration had completely gone away. Like, completely. My back was clear. All I did was replace the bar soap that I normally use with this bar and showered with it once a day for three days. The instructions say to lather up and leave it on the affected area for 1-2 minutes before rinsing it off, and that's what I did. Don't worry about it dripping off you - this soap is very slimy once it's on your body (but not in a gross way) and it will definitely stay in place on its own. It really does smell great, and it's easy to rinse off. Don't bother with creams or sprays. They are GROSS. This bar contains the exact same active ingredient (tolnaftate 1%) is just as effective, and is much more pleasant to use. The only downside, if there is one, is there's no competition in this market to help drive the price down. Defense seems to be the only brand that has integrated this medication into a bar of soap. There are many other antifungal soaps on Amazon, and a lot of them even use tea tree oil, but none contain Tolnaftate. Still, one bar is still cheaper than a doctor's co-pay or an OTC treatment. Highly, highly recommended.

It was the packaging being so perfect, since I am a packaging designer and no how product perception + marketing can be deceiving + past failures buying expensive products. My skin routine 1. I let salicylic acid wash sit on my face & body to soften the scales & dryness. 2. Marinate & gently massage the plaques in an oil bath to exfoliate the dead skin cells to reach the issue. 3. Then sitting up & massaging my entire body using the defense Antifungal soap without water washing it off for about 5 minutes. 4. I repeat these steps to ensure the product is doing its magic & give the bacteria warning! 5. I’ll massage hyaluronic acid to help with the wound healing & reduction of scaring, also hydration. 6. Lastly, mixing an oil or butter with a few drops of oregano oil for extra anti-bacterial protection, hyperpigmentation, & anti-inflammation. BUT TO ENSURE YOU, the defense soap is the main product that reducing the psoriasis other than the oregano oil. Without this, my skin will be raised, bumpy & drier. I WISH THIS COMPANY CREATED MADE A LARGE CREAM OR SALVE THAT WILL LAST. ONLY COMPLAINT Y IS THE PRICE POINT, US SKIN SUFFERERS ARE ALWAYS EXPLOITED WITH EXPENSIVE PRICES. THEY KNOW WE ARE DESPERATE FOR A SOLUTION. I AM THINKING ABOUT USING THIS BRAND AS A STAPLE BRAND FOR HYGIENE!
