Very interesting adventure, especially since you can run it without entering fights
This is a great and rather unusual D&D adventure, to my point of view. You mean all sorts of _monsters_ that would normally attack you on sight, but here, they can actually be your ally. Also, if you want to learn a lot more about how the Feywild works, this is the book for you. The tiny section about each plane in the Dungeons Master is definitely not enough to have a real feel for what this is like!

Finally I understand the Feywild!
This adventure is fantastic. Not only does it present an amazingly whimsical Feywild realm for inspiration on homebrew adventures that take place there, the adventure itself is delightful and fun and wacky. And like the description says, you can get through the entire adventure without ever getting into combat, if you're cunning enough. This makes it an ideal adventure for younger players or elderly players unfamiliar with D&D. There are two ways to run this adventure with players: one where the player characters lost something from fairies as children, and a more classic quest given by an archfey warlock. There are also two new backgrounds, two new races, some super interesting magic items, and a swath of fantastical fey trinkets. There are some fun new fey creatures, and the adventure itself utilizes almost all the fey creatures in other books like Volo's Guide to Monsters, except for Eladrin and meelocks, for some reason. But everything else just fits so well, each area of the Feywild domain is distinct and fun and colorful, and the carnival at the beginning of the adventure is super interesting and fun inspiration for how a carnival could work in a magical world like D&D. Even if you don't run the adventure, this is bound to be a great source of inspiration for running adventures in the Feywild.

Great for new DM and kids!
Iโve only run one campaign (Lost Mine of Phandelver) before, and never played dnd before that. Iโm halfway through The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, and am having a blast! Iโm running it for a group of 10 yr olds, they love the silly encounters and itโs really brought my own son out of his shell! My only downside is that it would be helpful to have a summary of the overall conflict/main npcs. It took me a while to piece together what was going on. The role play character cards helped me have confidence to be silly and role play characters more, which the kids ate up and now they think Iโm the cool mom haha. If your looking for A campaign thatโs fun for all ages, get this!

Easy to follow and a ton of fun!
I've recently taken over as DM for our table (it's my first time DM'ing) and I bought this campaign setting because it fit well with the opening session that I had in mind. You can work this campaign setting into virtually any situation, and the book even gives you two separate quest hooks to get everyone interested in visiting The WitchLight Carnival. It made a beginner DM like me feel more confident about leading adventures for my D&D table. It came with a full-size map of the Carnival in the back of the book, as well as listings for new character classes, backgrounds, and wonderous fey-themed items that the party can win or discover throughout the Carnival. I highly recommend this if you're looking for a whimsical, fun setting to let your group explore and unwind in.

Love this book, would like a little more
Wild Beyond the Witchlight is an amazing campaign. It's my first time DMing and it's a blast. I'd recommend anyone to buy and run it. However I would wish some more came with the book. For example, there's removable large maps of the Witchlight carnival but not the other places. It would be cool to have those too, it seems the development dropped after that first chapter.

My wife's first DND campaign. It was so much fun.
Was a really fun and cute campaign. Not very much combat, but still fun. I will recommend looking for the additional content from wotc online before starting the campaign. there's a lot of fun stuff that add to the early game experience that I wish I had known about before starting.
