IT WORKS!!!
Love, LOVE, LOVE this!! This token board has been instrumental in getting my son to focus and work hard in school. The chart already has magnets on the back, so as soon as you take it out the box, it's ready to go up on your fridge! There also hooks for other surfaces. For set-up, you will have put the Velcro on the back of the stars, but that is it. What is great about Velcro is that you don't have to worry about them falling off or sliding around like magnets. Stickers need to be repositionable. So, Velcro really is the way to go. Using a dry erase marker, there's a spot for your child's name, the behavior you are working on and the reward for when that goal is accomplished. There are five spots on the caterpillar. Just idea of how beneficial this has been He was young 5 in September so we decided to put him Pre-K instead of Kindergarten. While he attended Pre-School, all he wants to do is play; however, the Pre-K he goes to operates more like a play-based Kindergarten and Kindergarten next year will basically be 1st grade. So, he has academic structure at points within his day, but because he just wants to play, he was refusing to do his work and making negative choices. His teacher recommended an incentive at home to get him excited and focused. So, I found this, and after about a month, it's clicked and he's been on a roll. My son has a separate chart that his teacher fills out as they move throughout their day. I review it and if he has all green checks, he gets a star. If there was a problem, no star. After five stars, he has earned his reward. It took about 3 weeks for him to really understand the importance and significance of the chart, but now a month in, he has earned two rewards. I keep the rewards small like $5-$10 prizes. A bath toy or fun, smelly markers You can choose something else like a trip to the library or museum. Or a special dessert after dinner that night. Whatever works best for you and your family, but at the end of the day the most important thing is that IT WORKS!!!

GREAT FOR RBTs
My son has spectrum and this works perfect for his reward board. I ended up buying two of them and use one for the house and the other one my son's RBT at school. Good quality, perfect size.

Love Kenson Kids
Found this brand when looking for an “east normal star chart”. Couldn’t find one anywhere! I would have bought the three pack from the jump- they wipe clean, thick “hand me down quality” Velcro. Stars work with their toothbrush chart too, easy.

Great for potty training
My 3 year old is so stubborn and she knows how to use the potty, but to get her to go all the time has been a battle, until I found this! Now she is excited to use the potty to put a star on the caterpillar. When she get's 5 up she gets a prize! Its a nice board and I like the velcro feature. I didn't expect it to be magnetic but that is great because its on the fridge and she always sees it and knows where to go for her stars. Great price, great quality. I see this being handy for other things as well in the future!

Very flexible reinforcer!
This little set is very useful and flexible for reinforcing behaviors or skills you are trying to develop in your child. We have used it with my granddaughter for potty training, teeth brushing, following through on directions, and it's been an easy, fun and motivating way to help her. She loves getting the stars out of the bag and putting them on the chart as she earns them ( we usually give a small food reinforcer-5 m&ms when she fills the chart.) It's not bug, and very simple, which might not be for everyone's purpose, but it has worked out well for us.

Great tool for reinforcing positive choices
Love this! So versatile and easy to use. We’ve been using it with it three year old that was struggling with being kind and listening. This did the trick! Also have used this for potty training. Durable and appealing. Love that it comes with extra stars in case some are lost- and they are durable plastic, not singing that will fall apart. The chart itself is thick and easily wipes clean.

perfect for special needs children
My son has ASD. He definitely needs more positive input on his behavior, he thrives with it. We created a reward system, each time he fills his chart, he gets to pick a prize from a bucket we keep filled with small trinkets and toys and books. He gets a star for each good day he has. He's very visual so it's helpful for him to see he has had X amount of good days and with X amount more good days, he can earn something. In fact he looks at his chart several times a day and reports to me how many additional stars are needed for a prize. This has been far more effective at curbing bad behavior than years of time outs where nothing was learned because he had screamed the entire duration of time out without realizing what put him there or taking toys and privileges away because with autism, he does not always understand why he is being punished. His behavior has vastly improved, the need for time outs and such has lessened. I highly recommend this for other children like mine.
