L'Oréal Professionnel Paris Steampod Hair Straightener & Styling Tool - Professional Steam Styler For All Hair Types & Textures, 24 Hour Frizz Control, Smooths & Adds Shine

I recently purchased L'Oreal's Steampod Pro 3.0 on Amazon Prime day. At $50 off, it was too good of a deal to pass up. After a few weeks of use, here's my initial feedback. The partnership between L'Oreal and Rowenta to create this product is a good one - they've made a great product. So far, this splurge purchase has been worth every penny. I’m not good at styling my hair, I’m a wash & go type of person. Since I turned 30, my hair gets more unruly, wavier (in the weirdest way) and frizzier every year. Now I have to use a styling tool to tame my hair into presentable style! This SteamPod doesn’t use heat to straighten or curl, it uses steam which is less damaging. It's easy to use despite the larger size. With my old GHD Platinum+ and T3 SinglePass flat irons, my hair got fried despite only using it 2x a week. Not with this baby, and I see similar results -- my wavy, unruly hair is straight, smooth, shiny, and less frizzy after one pass. It also doesn't feel as dry. I have tried two styles so far on my just below shoulder length hair — straight and loose curls. Both easy to do, and the style held up all day in the Bay Area temps. Bonus - it takes less time for me to achieve these looks than if I used a hair dryer and round brush. My only nit and it's a tiny one: Like all steam irons, you need to use distilled water so you avoid mineral build up and damaging your SteamPod.

This thing is amazing. I've seen slight differences between other straighteners, but this one is really and truly much better than anything else I've tried. I had the first gen, which was also good, but heavier and the cable running to the "pod" part was unwieldy. Frankly the whole device was. This one is much easier to maneuver and feels more or less the same as any other straightener. I can use much lower heat on it and still get phenomenal results. I have fine 3b hair and use the lowest setting (350) and I can still do a single pass and get great shiny smooth results. If I use this with Color Wow Dream Coat it looks like I got a keratin treatment AND it can stand up to humidity. This is a product that was absolutely worth the money. A word of warning, ALWAYS use distilled water. I upgraded from the 1.0 to the 2.0 because I thought "I don't have hard water, I can use my sink just a few times it's no big deal!" It is a big deal and ended with my steampod in the trash because it was clogged. ONLY use distilled water, every time, 100% of the time, or it will clog and stop steaming. I've had my 2.0 for 2 years now with heavy use and the steam still works great.

I have shoulder-length, thick, coarse, damaged, color-treated, aging, frizzy hair. Nothing works to smooth and gently curl it without damage or reverting back to frizz within hours. Over the years, I’ve tried Caruso steam rollers, hot rollers, flat irons, curling irons, foam rollers, and sometimes several of these together. I’ve also bought countless products that claim to help smooth and defrizz hair. (The only thing that helps tame my hair is coconut oil or…this is weird…Neutrogena Body Oil.) The very first time I tried it on freshly washed, conditioned and fully air-dried (overnight) hair, the L’Oreal Steampod quickly smoothed my hair, left it shiny, and there was zero breakage. I had doubts about the combs, wondering if they’d tug or tangle my hair. They glided straight through it. The directions are slightly vague, but a google search helps, especially for tips on curling. The device is easy to use, doesn’t use a lot of water, and doesn’t over-steam your hair. It only steams (automatically) when the two sides are closed together. It heats up to steamable levels in under 5 minutes. Is this thing expensive? Yes. But if you factor in the countless products and gadgets purchased over the years chasing the smooth, undamaged hair I get from the Steampod, it’s worth every penny.

I had a professional use one on my hair and loved the results. Got on Amazon and ordered one right away. Please read the fine print...you must be ambidextrous, able to flat iron your hair using either hand because it only works in one direction. It is also heavy which made it equally difficult for me trying to use my left hand on the right side of my head. Now Amazon says the item is not eligible for return!!!! Better try both hands with your current flat iron before you order one.

It’s a great hair straightener. I seem to flat iron my hair in less time using this one,than when I used my Babyliss flat iron. I do think it’s overpriced. Heat level goes to 410. It has a built in comb to keep hair straight as you slide the iron from roots to ends.You NEED TO SLIDE THE BLADES IN THE DIRECTION OF THE ARROWS ON IT or you’ll feel that it’s tugging at your hair when sliding. It’s seems durable and heats up quickly. All in all I like it and even though I paid $250 , I still think it’s overpriced 😁

After I accidentally left my loreal steamer, v2, in a hotel, I couldn't live without it so bought a new one. Love it! Easier to use than the v2 pod. I have irish hair, frizzy, curly, this steamer makes my hair smooth and silky. Less damage and I will forever be using this. Works for my hair and fast results! Great item Loreal!!!

Best purchase. The steam helps for better results, it does not damage your hair.

I had never seen anything like this here in the US. I had gone to Portugal & this was what the stylist was using. My daughter took a pic & we had to order it. I was floored with how easily my hair was straightened by the first passing. The price was a bit steep, but so worth it in comparison to other high-end brands where I needed to keep re-doing the same strands of hair multiple times. I have thick, long hair & I’m done straightening it in much less time. My daughter loves it as well & she has way longer hair. Our hair is not just straight; it has a healthy shine that looks salon finished.

Cumplió y superó mis expectativas. Aún no domino la técnica para hacer ondas por el grueso de la plancha pero el cabello queda súper bonito y el alaciado dura mucho más que con otras planchas convencionales.

Le résultat sur les cheveux frisés/ crépu et épais est tout simplement spectaculaire!!!! Les cheveux sont soyeux et ne sont pas fragilisés. Le meilleur fer à vie !!!! Contrairement à certains commentaires, il est facilement malléable. Un incontournable !!!
