Coconut Opener, Stainless Steel Coconut Knife Tool for Easy to Open Thai Hawaii Young Coconuts

It’s been a little over two years since I purchased this opener and it continues to work like a champ. If you’re looking for a simple tool that will let you quickly and relatively safely extract the water from a coconut, this is a great option. Note that a little effort is required to use it effectively, but I think most people should be able to make it work without excessive strain. It works great! Yes you need strength. I am a small person and I got on the floor to dig in. It was easy then. Does its job. Much better than last time when I tried to use a butcher knife. lol

It’s basically trash. Cheaply made. Looks nice but is flimsy and not strong enough to actually cut into a coconut. This broke on my first use. The handle broke off when trying to twist and cut the coconut.

The incident occurred when I applied moderate pressure to the coconut opener, attempting to pierce through the coconut shell. Suddenly, a sharp metal fragment pierced my finger, causing a painful injury. This unexpected mishap not only ruined my experience but also raised serious concerns about the product's quality control and safety standards. While accidents can happen with any tool, it is crucial for manufacturers to prioritize consumer safety. In this case, the presence of a sharp broken metal piece within the coconut opener is a clear indication of a manufacturing flaw. It is disappointing that such a potentially dangerous defect was not detected before the product was shipped. I strongly advise potential buyers to exercise caution when using this coconut opener. Inspect the product thoroughly before use, ensuring there are no loose or broken parts that could pose a risk. Additionally, I highly recommend wearing protective gloves to minimize the chances of injury. Despite the unfortunate incident, I must acknowledge that the coconut opener did perform its primary function effectively. It successfully cracked open coconuts, allowing me to enjoy the refreshing coconut water and meat. However, the safety issue I encountered overshadows any positive aspects of this product. In conclusion, while the Zhuohai Coconut Opener may be efficient in its intended purpose, the presence of a sharp broken metal piece that caused injury is a significant concern. I hope the manufacturer takes immediate action to rectify this safety issue and ensures that future customers can use the product without fear of injury. Until then, I cannot recommend this coconut opener due to the potential safety hazards it presents.

Pretty solid and practical. I thought it'd work on fresh coconuts only but it works on the harder ones too. Pretty happy.

So I loved this tool when I got it. I’ve had it maybe 6 weeks? Used it quite a bit but it has now disintegrated, the handle has broken from the tool part and it no longer works, I had to throw it out.

I open a lot of coconuts at the juicery I manage and this is the best hand held tool we have ever used! It's perfect for fresh coconuts!!! If I could only take on thing to an island, this would be it!
