Excellent for the price.
I'm impressed by these. Just got them today so no idea how well they will last, but the optics are clear and crisp. I tested by seeing if I could make out the license plate of a neighbor that's about a couple thousand feet away and I could, but then again I do have pretty good eyesight. My only complaint is that it seems difficult to hold them steady free-hand and that there are no instructions for how to put the strap on the binoculars. I can train for that and use something to steady the binoculars. As for the strap, I'm sure someone somewhere made a video about something similar enough. These are my first binoculars in over a decade and I am well pleased.

Sturdy build, good image quality, but I returned b/c Uncollminated with double image I couldn't fix
Good solid build with aluminum body (not plastic) covered in black amour. Image quality is clear with good colors and light. Field of view is narrow at 166 feet at 1000 yards, but this is to be expected at 20 x magnification. Magnification was excellent but again, trade off is narrow FOV which makes your target difficult to locate. Huge negative is that mine arrived totally out of collmination, so that I was literally seeing 2 objects yards apart from one another. I even located the tiny adjustment screws (which are hidden under the barrel armor when you grip the barrels when viewing) and I tried turnig these screws which did help (miraculously) to correct the double image. Unfortunately I could only locate 2 adjustment screws (there are supposed to be a total of 4, 2 on each barrel for vertical allignment and for horizontal allignment), so altho I got my target image to lineup left to right, I was still seeing double image top to bottom. I tried for another 30 minutes to locate 2 more adjustment screws, but I swear there just weren't anymore than the 2 I successfully located. Thus, I returned item for refund, bc uncollminated binos with double image are USELESS !! Other than the collmination issue (which was a BIG DEAL!!) these binos look like they are rugged, and big bang for the buck. Good luck !!

Amazingly High Magnification - with some drawbacks: Sadly sending them back
Update: I'm returning these - somewhat reluctantly. They do have marvelous resolution, (counting pine cone seeds at 100 meters) but the right eyepiece holder is such flexible plastic that it is a BIG pain to get both eyepieces in focus, and aimed in the same direction (collimated). A directly related problem that surprised me - they have and amazingly small Depth of Focus. No matter how far away they are focused, Anything at a slightly different distance is out of focus so you must refocus BOTH eyepieces. It was just too much work. I found I was leaving them in the car and taking my far less powerful 7x by 50 binoculars instead. --------- Original: When you get both eyepieces focused correctly - which is not hard, these 20x50 binoculars provide amazing magnification. I could count individual seeds on a pine cone in a tree at 100 yards (100 meters). Another time I saw detailed texture on a sandy beach at 200 yards - almost (ALMOST) sharp enough to make out individual sand grains. Looking at cones in a Monterey Cypress I couldn't believe my eyes. They looked as big as cones on a Monterey pine instead ! Also positive - the lenses are sharp all the way to the edges - which are not that far from the center. These are not $500 Glasses. They cost $30. That means the manufacturer sold them at a profit - at $15. So if you think of these as more like a Dollar store binocs that can do amazing stuff - you will be pleasantly surprised. The view is necessarily small. You have to put your eyes tightly to the eyepieces. I found myself not wanting to use these to search for something because the field of view is so small. I reached for my 7x50s instead for a more relaxed view. I was expecting some difficulty with shaking - and yes that is the case. You do have to steady your elbows to get a more stable view. And when you do - the resolution is amazing. They are solidly built, except for the focus plate that connects the two eyepieces - which is a bit bendy and could affect the right eye focus. The lenses are coated as advertised, the purple tint is obvious. But unless you pay the extra $20 - there's no way to attach a tripod. But for $30 - if you want to try out 20x magnification - they are (and I hate this term) "not bad."

Very nice Binoculars
Works great! Unfortunately i had a bit of a problem that they were blurry all the time turns out the rotor from the inside came outside and had to repair it, other than that haven't had any issues with it. Thank you! Have an incredible amount of zoom very clear when used close and very satisfied with it.

Dont waste your money
Terrible.I bought the 20x50 based on reviews on the lower 7x50 and 10x50 model. I cant believe its an amazon choice and even cant believe it has such a high rating. If I lived in the USA I would have returned it 2 minutes after buying it. I would hope celestron offers to pay for the return. This is the first review I have ever done, and I am only doing it as I feel so upset. This binoculars is a total rip off. 1.It says multi coated lens, I dont even see single coated lens. the lenses are clear (in color) 2.It feels so cheap, the rubber isnt even very neat, I cant believe a big brand like Celestron can sell something that feels so cheap. 3. It suffers from every single flaw a binoculars can have * It has Collimation error (double vision) *Under 100ft everything seems fine, over 100ft you begin to notice how cloudy the lens is. I have other Chinese binoculars and they are much more clear. * The center of the lens seen clear(this is a joke) but towards the edges of the lens, it is very very blurred. *More than 100Ft the details are dull and flat, and colors are dull. The youtube video, (paid by them )makes this binoculars seem like the real deal and presents this binoculars as great value etc but this is all lies. Please dont waste your money

Tho bit confusing at first when I get the hang of it, it feels nice and the material it is made in adds good feeling, the view is what I expected, not sharp but sharp enough, the carrier and stuff coming in with it (microfibre cloth and strap) was good. Not a 5 star because the view is not perfect, the magnification I trust being 20 and aperture 50, I use it a few times, doesn’t disappoint
