Works OK but has a couple of things which bug me. The 'Tare' function doesn't work as you would expect, so there's extra button pressing and standing around waiting for it to change mode, which it does frustratingly slowly. Sometimes the button doesn't work so you have to press it multiple times which is really annoying. The backlight is good but would be better if it was on permanently, because I just have to switch it on every time. The product is OK, not amazing. I wouldn't recommend it.

This is an accurate scale that needed to be replaced. I like the ounce/gram conversion and the tare option. Perfect for measuring food when journaling your diet for a strict workout/diet plan.

My old Escali Alimento 136DK lasted over 14 years. I bought another Escali Alimento 136DK in June 2025. It's the same scale and works great. I use an AC power adapter and leave it plugged in. I need the scale to increment accurately to a tenth of an ounce or .1 ounce, which it does accurately. Easy to clean. Very happy with this scale. (AC Adapter not included with purchase). Scale measures in grams, ounces, lbs, lbs & ounces.

After reading several reviews, I decided to go with this model and am glad I did. It is easy to read, the tare feature holds even when off or powers down. This is the first I have converted my baking to weight instead of volume and it is much easier to do. No messy measuring, just add to your container until you hit the right weight! Top removes for easy cleaning, it is light yet sturdy. Be sure to purchase any scale with the AC adapter, no worries of dead batteries during a busy day of baking. Highly recommend this work horse!

I got this scale because of the vertical display. I had a flat scale, and sometimes the item I was weighing would block the display. This scale’s display is a big improvement, but it’s still not perfect — I have to push the “backlight” button to read the display, and I can’t set the backlight to be on as default. Other issues: • The buttons aren’t very touch-responsive, I really have to push. Not always great with wet hands or on a flour-covered counter. • I don’t understand why the Tare button is separate from the power button. My old scale would tare if you tapped the power button, and power down if you held the power button down for a bit. I’ll admit, this feature would probably bother me less if the buttons were more responsive, though. • It doesn’t seem to be as precise as my old scale. When I’m weighing grams, it often jumps by twos. And I can’t find the calibration precision in the manual. It’s light, takes up minimal space in my kitchen, and is legible no matter what I’m weighing. But for the price (four times as much as my last scale!), I wish it were sturdier, more responsive, and easier to use.
