I tried a few different types of air stones and for small bubbles these are the best no contest. The standard air stones bubbles are way too big and half the time they leak more air from the connection then goes through the air stone itself. These are fantastic, the bubbles are tiny which is exactly what I wanted. No leaks: all the air goes through the air stone. Comparing to a standard air stone in my tank beside it the air bubbles are about 1/50th of the size there is just tons more of them (using roughly the same amount of air). This makes it much quieter and more gentle which is great for small tanks. I wish there was a 1 inch version but otherwise this is my perfect air stone. Will have to see how it holds up over time ,very happy with my purchase so far. Will be buying more!

Great bubbler! Even running at 75% air power (I put a control valve in the tubing) the bubbles are very powerful and tiny, and it fills the water with oxygen!! At first i thought the air stone was faulty so i started a return but then the actual problem wasnt worth returing it for. I had bought 2 stones and i attached the working stone to the second hose and it stopped working. The check valve on this stone had no hole inside for air flow. The actual stone itself works great.
