Best mattress we’ve ever had
Bought a king in 2018. We’ve had problems with the best brand names and decided to save money and try something different. This mattress is fabulous. So very comfortable. We are an average size couple, weighing in at 175 and 135 and we have had many problems with mattresses caving into body creases. One store banned us from returning any more mattresses 😏. Our king is still holding strong. The previous 5 didn’t last this long. In 2025 we needed a twin mattress replacement so, again, we bought a Leesa. This year, after having heard complaints from family about the guest room mattress, we caved and got a new mattress. Of course, it’s a Leesa. Want our family to be as comfortable as we are. Looking forward to hearing their views. Grateful we decided to try Leesa.

Very versatile mattress
I was a little hesitant buying this mattress because this mattress wasn't as established on Amazon. There weren't as many reviews as other competitors. I was not shy at all with ordering online though. There really is so little risk with any of these bigger companies. If you don't like it, send it back. Well, they either send someone to take or donate it, or ask for proof of donation. I haven't heard a single horror story returning these mattress from any of the popular online only companies. It beats mattress shopping and salesmen any day. Even if under all the pressure of a salesmen you find the right mattress after laying down for 20 minutes, who knows how you'll feel after a night anyway. My search started with Tuft and Needle. We were about 90% sure we were going to try the mattress but after reading many of the popular mattress review sites we learned of the Leesa. In the end it came down to the Casper or Leesa. I know I'm probably wrong, but the thought the Tuft and needle is essentially made with the materials common car seats or couches are kept bugging me even if it is very well reviewed. When it came down to buy the Casper was back ordered on Amazon so the choice was easy. We've read you really can't go wrong with either. You only get 30 days to try the mattress on Amazon so that was a downside but we wanted it 2 days kind of quick. I highly doubt at day 50 I would suddenly decide the mattress wasn't right. 30 days is plenty, I don't care what mattress companies say to keep you invested in your purchase. Delivery and unpacking was super easy. Took about 5-10 minutes. Your mileage my vary, the easier you can toss around 100 lbs for a king, the quicker it will be. It has its shape within minutes and id say by around 3-4 hours I measured it at its full advertised height give or take a quarter of an inch. Build quality looks great, doesn't feel cheap in the slightest bit. Me personally...we noticed little off gassing at all. I was concerned with that since ventilation in our room. I honestly noticed none unless I held my nose to the mattress within the first hour. By night time, about 8 hours later we noticed nothing sleeping. My dogs jumped on the bed, they typically act skeptical to chemical type smells. Neither were phased. Maybe we were lucky or others have much much more sensitive noses or low tolerances. As far as sleep, it's great. We had mattress shopping troubles because my wife and I are very different sleepers both in preference and position. She is around 145 athletically built and prefers a firm mattress. She is a stomach and back sleeper. I am around 200 also athletically built and am typically a side or back sleeper. I usually prefer a medium type of mattress, on the softer side. If you do your research that's pretty much polar opposites as far as a recommended bed lol. This bed just works. She was immediately in love. The avena foam (a material similar but more durable to latex) gives it a firmer touch more on par with a latex vs memory foam mattress. It has more bounce and not that quicksand feeling if memory foam. It felt a little on the firmer side for my preference at first but when you lay for a minute or so that memory foam feeling of the bed contouring starts to come in and it feels great. We pretty much cover every sleeping position imaginable between the two of us and we couldn't be more satisfied. I would definitely agree this is about a 6-6.5 on the firmness scale. It's very versatile though. In hindsight I think this was our correct choice. I think the tuft and needle may have been perfect for her but left me wanting a little more and settling for a mattress pad on my side to continue sleeping on our side. The Casper I speculate would have left both of us unhappy. It seems to be very dependent on weight for feel. The top is very soft giving it a softer feel compared to the Leesa. However I hear people around my weight and heavier feel it's a firmer mattress, we bottom out closer to the support layer. If you're dynamic is opposite to mine, the lighter sleeper likes soft and the heavier firm that might be great for you. I think it would have left her being lighter feeling it's too soft and myself being heavier feeling the mattress was too firm. I'll update as time goes on but at this time I couldn't be happier.

Ultimate stomach sleeper solution!
Two important things. One, if you're a stomach sleeper sick of back pain from death valley mattresses, this is your ultimate solution! I've been trying different mattresses all my life and have a tall stack of dead ones in my backyard to prove it. I just bought my second one of these and it literally makes me cry from the sheer comfort! It might take you some time to get used to the slight tabletop feeling but the support is still soft on your pressure points. It's not like a hard bed. Once you realize how you can now sleep in any position rather than fighting to find a single pain free position, you will understand what you got. The other important thing to know is that these Leesa mattresses last exactly five years. Then you bite it and buy another one. I read a review once about frying pans where the gal explained how expensive fancy pans are impractical for some when just buying a new favorite cheap pan every year is actually way more satisfying. Think about it. I also have a pile of fancy pans but I buy a brand new Rachael Ray 12.5 inch every year because it's thin and frys fast and has a great handle. It says "Lifetime Warranty" but they last exactly one year. Then they warp and the nonstick starts coming off and I buy another one because I love how it works compared to the expensive ones with the heavy bases that take forever to heat up and the metal handles that are hot and slippery and uncomfortable. Course, it all comes down to personal preference and I found that mine is to have nice fresh things that simply work how I need them to. So put in the budget for a Lessa every five years and live a pain free stomach sleeping life! Buy one of those frying pans too while you're at it. You now lead an entirely changed life.

NOT a life-changer, but OVERALL... SATISFIED and happy!!!
This will actually be my first review for amazon.... I felt the Leesa Mattress would be the one I do first. I have to say, the mattress is decent to good! The shipping was incredibly fast. It arrived earlier than the estimated arrival date given by amazon. After watching a lot of youtube videos on the mattress I decided to give it a shot. It looked pretty good from the reviews. For my review, I would like to really start off by saying that I have been through about 3 mattresses within the last year and a half. I moved with a uhaul so all my mattresses could have come with me but I swapped them out (selling them) because I couldn't find a mattress I liked. I have had restless nights - have tried PRICEY pillow-top mattresses from the mattress store, that was too soft and had a permanent dent within 2-3 months. With the sleepless nights, I was told that FIRM beds were better for you and as I was waking up with occasional 'aches and pains' from the pillow top, i tried going to a FIRM mattress..... That was a fail too. I tried buying a memory foam top to try to get that 'therapeutic' effect that they're famously acclaimed for..... but my nights were still eh.... minimum 4 hours to the max 6 hours! I'm in good standing health, I would say i'm an athletically built 5'11" male weighing in at 220lbs that just seemed to not really be able to find a mattress that did it for me. Sleeping was NOT enjoyable, nor was it 'that' bad.... just whatever. NOW, to the product.... I will say 4/5 stars off the bat. 1) because after the first night, i've been getting MINIMUM 6 hours of sleep and have slept up to about 7.5 hrs max. Instant difference and I feel 'fresh'. Don't take it too far thinking this bed is something that will just automatically have you wake up a different person, BUT I will say i'm just more well-rested. 2) whether on your side, back, stomach.... you do not feel aches and pains, or the normal stress on my body that I would get on occasion from different mattresses. I actually slept somewhat on my side, leaning into part of my stomach, and just didn't have a complaint with it. Great in this department. MY ONLY reason for not giving it a full 5 star and deducting a star, is the reviews definitely said it was like a 6 firm rating out of 10 firmness rating. I want to say it's almost 7-8. You don't feel completely sunk in, but there have only been a couple times where I was thinking "well, if it was just a TAD softer, I think it would be perfect!!! it's just a fraction too firm for me... if that makes sense. Other than that.... I think it's a unique way of shipping a mattress and it boggles my mind that technology/production can do such things now with mattresses. I HOPE that this mattresses lasts for years as I do NOT plan to return it NOR try another mattress. I've been overall satisfied and getting better sleep.... so I'm going to stick with it. Down the road if there is any indentation or issues, I'll update but so far with a WEEK with it.... I'm overall satisfied!!!!!

Great Experience & Product...So Far
After thoroughly researching mattresses in a box and calling Amazon to be sure I understood the return process within 100 days if issues arise (separate unit handles large item returns and received assurance that they have system for handling that does not involve re-boxing item for return), we purchased our King Leesa. When it arrived we unboxed and unwrapped it in our unused guest room. It fully expanded by morning and we left the door closed, fan on and window open to dissipate the off gassing for 36 hours. We then moved the mattress to our bedroom and because of concerns about the firmness, we used our mattress topper on it, being aware that it may make it sleep warmer. From the first night it has been very comfortable for both of us and most importantly, I do not get up every morning with persistent low back pain and am totally unaware of my husband getting up and down several times a night. Heavenly! If I change positions as I am going to sleep, I sometimes get a brief whiff of the off gas odor, but it is not enough to be troublesome. The firmness with the topper is perfect with us, although we may experiment with eliminating the topper to see if it sleeps cooler. When I checked my Fitbit sleep tracker pre and post Leesa, there is an appreciable reduction in the number of wakeful periods throughout the night and the quality of my sleep has improved. So far, with a troublefree acclimation process, better sleep and the elimination of low back pain, we are very happy with our Leesa. If that changes, I will update this post.

Valley of the dead...foam
When I first received this mattress I would have rated it at five stars, even after the first 100 days, which is the length of the happiness guaranteed or your money back policy. I have now had the mattress for just under one year. For the last few months though, I’ve been waking up with a sore back and have noticed a sag in the mattress. It’s actually a softening of the memory foam. Before I get in bed it looks perfectly flat, but as soon as I lay down, there is a noticeable sag. This point is important as a visible sag before laying down would qualify as a warranty covered issue. A ‘softening’ of the memory foam does not. For those interested, foam softening is the first line listed in the ‘not covered’ section of the warranty. According to Leesa, this is a natural part of the breaking in process. I’m a 190 lb man, and when I get in my side of the bed at night I quickly wind up in the valley of this ‘softened’ section of the mattress. I’ve rotated the mattress and expect I’ll be comfortable for another 9 months. My wife’s legs will now rest where my upper body was, so she shouldn’t notice the sag on her side. I’ll be back on the market for a new mattress by this time next year. I’m terribly disappointed. This mattress has the perfect firmness when you first purchase it, but be prepared to sleep in a curved valley of softness within a year.

Too hot and firm for me
5'6" 180lbs side sleeper. For everything this mattress says it does, it doesn't for me. I have had this mattress for 3 years. Why haven't I bought a new one before now? Because I bought 2 other mattresses before this one, I was tired of moving mattresses, and I figure a $1,000 mattress better be worth the price tag. For me, since owning this mattress I have had various amounts of back pain. Lying on back or side, pillows between my knees, added all types of toppers but nothing helped. Now that I am suffering nerve damage in my thigh I'm dumping this mattress. I would call it pretty darn firm. It runs very hot. I have to sleep with fans on me and move around the mattress throughout the night to find cool spots. My mom has stayed the night and slept on this mattress. She hates it. Too firm for her. I can't even give it to her for free. I would not buy this mattress again and I would not recommend it. That being said, there is nothing wrong with the company that I am aware of, the mattress firmness never softened for me (I was hoping it would over time), it looks good, it was delivered as promised in a timely manner.

and had developed terrible back pain from years of sleeping on it
I previously had a queen size pillow top mattress, and had developed terrible back pain from years of sleeping on it. My SO did a little research and we decided on this one based off of the reviews we read. The delivery didn't go well, as the mattress was "lost in transit". Of course the day it was to arrive was my trash day, so I had already dragged my old mattress out to the curb. It took several conversations with a few different customer service folks and a couple nights of sleeping on the floor, but it did finally arrive. The box was heavy, but it was pretty simple to lay out onto the bed. The first two or three nights were rough, but by the fourth night it had expanded fully and I was used to how it felt. It's been about two months now and I have had no back pain whatsoever and my sleep quality has definitely improved. It's so comfortable we rarely sit on the couch anymore. The first thing we did after work for the first few weeks was throw on pajamas and lay in bed for an hour. It really is that comfy! It has a gentle firmness that is both supportive and comfortable. My dog, who has arthritis and three legs, is obsessed with this mattress. On my old mattress she would get uncomfortable and jump down after a while, but she practically lives on my bed now. I hope Leesa considers adding dog beds to their product line!
