Me vs. ants. This is war.
Who likes powder all over? No one. And this is not the perfect delivery system for diatomaceous earth, but it is way better than any other I've found. It's low tech and effective. I use it under the tiles on my home. I can focus the stream of powder under the shingles. I wash off the powder that has hit the foundation, and then I use it where the foundation hits the earth. It helps. I have to use it a few times to really control the ants that I'm competing with, but it is effective. I use it in the kitchen, too. When they find their way in, I find their trail and use diatomaceous earth where they enter the kitchen. I live with as much d.e. as I think I have to for a few days, and then wipe it up. It's organic, toxin-free, safe for my dogs, and I'm winning. I'll do what it takes to keep all those things going, and this little delivery system helps me do that. UPDATE 8/2/21 I still use this thing and the d.e. still works. I have to reapply after heavy rain where the ants are ... what's the word ... most tenacious. But after the reapplication, they go away again. It's worth it to me to not have poison lying around anywhere. It's a pretty clever delivery system and it works. I think there was a little red tip on mine when I got it; it works better without it, I think. More d.e. And when I apply it, now, I poof the d.e. under my bottom shingle and let it fall to the foundation so it's actually a twofer. If enough hits the space between the shingle and the ground, a whisk broom (sometimes a wet whisk broom) does the trick.

Perfect tool for my situation!
I had a yellow jacket nest in my defunct chimney by the front door. They were getting in through a tiny crack in the mortar and I hadn't been successful in getting wasp spray into the crack. After some research, and a few painful stings, I found this puffer and some powdered insecticide. I went out at night and the little tube was perfect for directing the powder into the crack. I gave it a few good puffs, then waited for the next day. I never saw any yellow jackets going in or out after that, and more importantly, spared myself getting more painful stings. As a bug lover and bee keeper, I respect our little stinging friends and this was a last resort as I had to walk past their entrance to get into my house. I like that this puffer directs the insecticide only where you need it to go, reducing any collateral insect deaths. And it kept me from being exposed to the chemicals as well. A+.

Used to kill a wasp nest worked great with some modifications
This item was used along with powder insecticide to kill a wasp nest that was between the siding of the house and the outside deck. The bulb held sufficient quantity of powder and there was no issue with this. I found the included extensions to be very short and this brought me very close to the nest. I subsequently used plastic drinking straws connected together and then placed over the original extension and tip to lengthen the distance to where I felt safe in applying the treatment. This worked because all the connections were tight and the bulb had a strong enough puff of air and powder to propel the powder to where it was directed. See photos attached.

Easy to use
This is my first time using a powder duster and it looks easy enough to use, which should be a plus, except when it clogs. I am going to guess that all dusters clog at some point but it's frustrating when they clog while you are actually using the thing and want it to work right. Overall this thing holds a lot of powder, leaves a good line for barrier of ants or filling in cracks. I used it around the outside of the house and porch and inside under cabinets, around the doors that exit outside and in the garage. So far, no bugs have turned up alive or dead, but I also spray Demon WP 2 times a year inside and outside. I wanted this duster to use with DE to kill fleas, which a colony of feral cats have brought into the yard. I'm not sure if there are fleas anymore and I surely can't apply any medication to the feral cats, so I am hoping that dusting has helped to eliminate this problem This little thing I want to mention is easy to use. Fits well in my hand and isn't too hard to squeeze but if you squeeze it too hard the powder puffs out faster causing dust. The little cap on the end of the tube stays on well to prevent any powder coming out if you store it with powder inside. Not a bad idea for dusting really, as I can't imagine how to get DE around the house without something like this.

Bellows better than Bulb type
We have the “black bulb” type brought several years ago with chemical powder from a different website. This bellows item was purchased specifically to use with Diatomaceous Earth and not to cross mixed containers, because we use DE inside home and chemical outside. The bellows type works far better than the bulb. After every squeeze of bulb I would shake it “as recommended” and it would still clog, especially if bulb nozzle has to be pointed upward. However, this bellows type works very well even with nozzle pointed upward, can get a few long sprays before reshake, due to not filled all way. It has not clogged yet.

Works GREAT! Highly recommend!
Awesome! I misplaced my older style dispenser and was a bit apprehensive about this new "bulb style" as my primary use is to "broadcast" DE powder on my floors, dog beds, ext. The online product description emphasized applying into cracks. Broadcasting was mentioned, however, in the instructions that came with the dispenser. Used it last night. Spread out my DE powder in a very fine and even, "fumigation- like" application...using less DE powder and enabling me to leave the powder down longer as it's very hard to see. Highly recommend!

No one likes using chemicals
No one likes using chemicals, but when I saw this apparatus, I bought it I only put in a quarter of the size worth of ant powder turned it upside down to get a very light puff to come out and I dusted my perimeter of my kitchen hallway and my bathrooms this is a great little tool if you’re concerned about putting too much Ant powder in your house

De verbindingen van het buisje willen graag los schieten. Verder werkt het best goed mits horizontaal gebruikt.
