When I first saw this hat I was unsure of its appearance but having now used it multiple times I can definitely say it’s a winner. While not a style statement this hat is a must-have if sun-protection is more important to you than appearance. Having had multiple BCC’s excised due to sun damage I know too well the risks from sitting on the beach, walking among ruins or exploring foreign cities. For the first time in a long time I feel safe walking in bright sun. Firstly, At the back of the crown is a small draw string enabling the crown to fit securely on your head. Another drawstring for the chin that can also be secured at the back of the head holds the hat in place in all but unseasonal winds. The brim is wide enough to give front and side protection and firm enough to withstand average weather. Whilst the neck protection and the rest of the hat is of lightweight material it is not designed for warmth but for sun protection. No one would expect to get sun damage through a shirt so why expect a sun hat to be made of heavyweight cotton? The result is a hat that feels very light but stable and, in my case, provides a very comforting level of protection. For the price, this a no-brainer.

Looks great but material didn’t feel that breathable; definitely good value; too light for windy days!

This hat has made a massive difference to my time outdoors. I live in Spain and love gardening, and this hat really protects my head, ears and neck from the summer and winter sun. Love it so much I also bought a second one!

Does a good job

Needed a head protector from the sun and found this item . Its a bit thin material but did the job with our record breaking heat. Being fair-skinned this hat was a must

Chin strap comes in useful as it is lightweight so wind lift is always present

Bello, resistente ma troppo caldo. Non si riesce ad usarlo in giornate molto calde. Ti fa sudare tanto. Un peccato perché protegge bene il collo e la faccia, però non è per niente traspirante.

Material ist sehr leicht, angenehm zu tragen. Die breite Krempe stört mich weder beim Rasenmähen, noch beim Radfahren. Ein Perfekter leichter Hut ,der gut vor der Sonne schützt.

Optisch kein Highlight aber der Sonnenschutz ist optimal. Ich nutze den Hut zum Rasen mähen und beuge hiermit einem Sonnenstich vor. Der Kopf und der Nacken werden super geschützt.
