Genius….We had the traditional screw in type brackets holding the curtain rod. Our dog likes to go behind the couch where the curtains hung down to hide/sleep. When he comes out over time he was pulling the bracket screws and anchor out of the wall on one side. After 2 repairs (spackling/sanding /painting/re-drilling) my wife found these brackets. Truly a game changer. No drilling, incredibly simple install (hammer it in…done!) and have not had a problem since. Highly recommend! My dog is good to hide behind the couch! lol.

So far so good. But claw that grabs into surface should be longer and perhaps multiple. I’m afraid it will not hold the weight. My curtains and rod, while not heavy are probably a bit beyond its weight capacity. But so far, so good, after several weeks. But they are really only safe for sheer curtains and very light rods that are not going to be opened and closed often. Curtain rings would help reduce stress of opening and closing, but would also add to the weight and usually damage the curtain. My suggested design improvement that would not cost much and be more useful. There is a single hole on the side of the bracket that faces the wall, where one could add a fastener, but putting any kind of fastener into the wall defeats the design purpose of the product. Mine is an older house. The wall is believed to be plaster covered by sheet rock. This particular hanging is intended to be temporarily during a redesign phase. Eventually, I will want to drill the wall and use a heavier and more decorative rod and finial. But for now, Its a clever and inexpensive temporary solution.

Quick and easy. Most females will love these. I'm 78 and had no problem. Loved the price!
