Will this work on a m14

I looked up some pictures of an m14 and it looks like it should. Very similar swivel mount to my savage rifles. Go for it! I love both of mine

Will this fit on a flatter bottomed stock?

It should. It's slightly rounded but It's got a rubber piece on the bottom that helps it seat tight to a majority of stocks. I got it for my savage rifles. Works great.
