Hello and thank you for your question. You can apply this with a brush onto a clean chain, or for best results mix it with paraffin wax and then dip the chain in the wax mixed with PTFE. This helps the powder to get deep into the links creating a thin PTFE film (once the links are under stress the powder compresses creating thin film).
