i haven't used them on my thorny hedge yet but they fit perfectly and seem really thick and good

Good for general gardening but thorns go through the leather parts.
Nice to wear, comfortable and provide some protection, but they are absolutely NOT thorn proof. My hands are a mess. I’ll keep them for general gardening but invest in a pair of farmer’s hedging mitts.
