NOCO Boost works!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!
The NOCO Boost X GBX75 comes through and works like a charm!!!! We have a cabin off the coast of Maine and leave our Subaru Forester at a small regional airport. It had been sitting in the freezing cold for over 6 weeks, with stormy winds and single digits temperatures. I fully charge the NOCO in the cabin and then, leave it on the front seat of the car, so I can use it when necessary. Well, on Dec. 26th, it was NECESSARY. I was able to get the front door open, but the car battery was essentially dead. We cleared enough snow off the front hood, attached the NOCO terminals to the frozen battery, turned it on and prayed it would work. The car had some life immediately, but we had to wait about 3 to 5 minutes. It as freezing sitting in the car, but then, pushing the start button, the car roared to life. YESSSSS. This was a real test and it worked just as we had hoped it would. As the old commercial used to say, “…don’t leave home without it…”.

NOCO Used to Be Good — Not Anymore UNRELIABLE
Very disappointed. I’ve purchased a total of 5 NOCO jump starters since 2016 because I originally trusted the brand. The earlier units I bought before 2020 were solid and reliable. However, the quality has clearly changed. This GBX75 stopped working after only 14 months of light use. It was properly stored, never abused, and only used occasionally. Now it won’t hold a charge and fails to power on when needed. A jump starter is supposed to be dependable in emergencies that’s the entire point. Failing just over a year is unacceptable similiar to the other 3 that failed. Out of the five units I’ve purchased, three that stopped working were bought after 2020. I definitely noticed a difference in build quality compared to the older models. They simply don’t feel or perform the same. Based on my experience, these newer NOCO jump starters are garbage compared to what they used to be. I would not recommend buying one now.

Top Rated Vehicle Jump Starter
This review is for NOCO Boost X GBX75 2500A 12V UltraSafe Portable Lithium Jump Starter. I've been a NOCO owner for years. My first NOCO was the GB40 that I had for a few years. When the GBX Series came out, I decided I wanted the USB-C connection it offered, and I prefer to have fixed cables for the jumper leads. I really only needed the GBX55 for anything that I might ever need to jump start, but I liked the longer cables and that the cables did not wrap in front of the light on the GBX75. So, the GBX75 won me over. It offers 2,500A for jump starting power, and it doubles as a battery pack. It also features a very nice light. I went with NOCO over the other brands, because all the consumer and professional testing I saw put NOCO at the top for jump starting vehicles. That's not to say all others are bad, but I wanted compact and the best jump starter I could get. Other brands do offer more features though, such as more USB connections and/or built-in air compressor. So, there are pros/cons of the brand you choose, and you have to decided what features are important to you. I also purchased the matching NOCO GBC103 case. The case is very good quality, and the GBX75 fits perfectly in it. It fits all the accessories, but the case really is a lot bigger than it needs to be. As much as I like my NOCO Boost X GBX75, I have noticed I can't get it to a full 100% charge. It appears that that when it is fully charged the green light should become solid. Even having it charge over night the most I get is blinking green for the light. Out of the box it came with about a 50% charge. There are also some things that I would like to have seen on this booster. I would like to see a voltage readout like they have on the GB150, and I would like to see the instructions printed on the top of the device. There is so much blank space on the top of the device that it would have been very easy to print the instructions on it. It has a little sticker on it that says to start vehicle within 60 seconds and power off/on to reset, but it's only a sticker than can peel off. It also doesn't give you instructions about the override button. Again, there is tons of real estate on the device to give clear directions. Also, they charge a lot for the accessories. I would have liked to have seen a bundle package that saved you some money.

Well worth it... saved my butt several times.
I have never had anything like this. Someone at our marina used it to jump their boat and so I bought one. For something I have lived 62 yrs without using, I have used this thing multiple times in the last 6 months. Battery on my truck was going out - but would work. Had to use it twice to start my truck before I figured out battery had a short, would test fine, but then would go completely dead when trying to start truck... take it to parts store - starts fine, tests fine... Used to jump my tractor when battery was dead... I was using a dump trailer behind my truck - battery / electric over hydraulic. Used more times then normal and drained main battery, could use this to boost and dump trailer. Figured out cigarette plug in would charge it back up fast enough to keep it charged between dumps... dumped the trailer 34 times had to help probably 25.

Minor stuff
Overall a decent jump pack. My two biggest gripes how ever are the difference in quality between the usb c cable for charging and the 12v adapter for charging. Second while the bag it came with is a good aesthetic choice an all black bag when you are trying to find in the dead of night with no battery is a strange choice

Powerful and Effortless. Robust Wiring, great clamps.
I frequently have to rescue my daughter and give her a jump, and I don't like using my battery with jumper cables. I had already given her my old jumper box, so I needed a replacement. I decided to get this very powerful unit so that I could get many jumps for her Chrysler 200, or any other car or truck, multiple times without a charge. Unlike most other chargers this doesn't just start the car, it immediately and robustly starts the car, effortlessly. And I've jumped about half a dozen times with it, and it still isn't out of power. It also charged very quickly before my first use. I used a laptop charger, because when you use a high amp USB C source, it can charge very quickly indeed. I suppose I SHOULD charge it soon, before it stops being effective, but honestly, I don't think it has broken a sweat. I once hooked it up backwards because I was tired and distracted, and it didn't throw sparks or ruin anything. It sensed it was reverse polarity, and just refused to play. I saw my error, reversed the clamps, and the car started right up. Hopefully I didn't damage it, but it seems fine. I feel like this could probably start a large diesel truck or tractor, and is a nice piece of kit to carry around in case somebody needs help. And it's nice to be able to help, without tearing my battery covers off and scraping up my own terminals. Databyter

NOCO Boost X GBX75: solido, sicuro, efficiente ... davvero perfetto.

Works as expected; ....Update: Better Than Expected.
July 2, 2025: My NOCO Booster really saved our day this past week. We were 3 hour drive from home near the top of Mt. Kobau in BC. After spending the afternoon enjoying the sights, I went to start the car and the battery was completely dead. We were in a panic - no one else around, many miles out into the wilderness. I dug out the NOCO Boost X GBX75 2500A from the hatch floor storage area of my 2016 Subaru Forester and removed it from its protective case. Connected it to the car battery, turned it on, and my wife cranked the engine..... it started-up right-away, no problem. The booster is expensive, but I will never go anywhere without it. It has proved its worth... Updated Review, early 2025: I purchased this NOCO Boost X GBX75 2500A almost 2 1/2 years ago. I keep it recharged every 3 or 4 months. Yesterday was the first time I actually needed to put it to the test. My 2016 Subaru Forester battery went dead and would't crank the engine as the cabin overhead light had been left on accidently. After connecting the NOCO Boost to the dead battery, it cranked up and started immediately. So, I can verify it works as it should after sitting unused for over 2 years (with periodic recharging to keep it topped-up). ------------------------- 2022 review: My initial testing indicates that it works fine. I tested it to boost start my 2016 Subaru Forester and it worked as expected. I set myself a reminder to recharge the booster every 3 or 4 months to ensure it is always ready in case of an emergency or if I need a real boost (or to help someone else). I also purchased the NOCO GBC103 Boost X EVA "Protection Case" for GBX75, which helps keep things compact and organized. Even though the case is an expensive add-on, I found it a useful to protect the booster and accessories.
